Narration was bad

The story wasn’t too terrible, there was a twist at the end that I wasn’t quite expecting. The narration made it painful to get through, so I had to go back and forth between reading on KU and listening when I wasn’t able to read. The narrator was yelling so much throughout her entire narration, and there were times when you couldn’t tell the difference between character dialogue and the story itself. The only character I think she was perfect for was Martha, but otherwise her voice was way too high pitched and loud. I recommend reading this one so you can focus on the story itself and not be distracted by the bad audio.

Good read.

It was a good read. Definitely spicy and an okay story line. It started out as a slower read and then I felt as if the ending was rushed. It was definitely interesting and entertaining. I would not reread this one.

A REREAD Review:
As stated above, I have read this before in 2018 (now 25). I love a romantic suspense book. It is absolutely my favorite type. This was a great read. Eden is drawn back because of a murder to face her past and her mother. Zach is the local sheriff on the case. The cult aspect was unique and interesting. Eden and Zach are attracted to each other despite trying to fight it because of the circumstances.

I would have rated 4 stars, but since this read was one I remembered for all this time, I gave 5. It obviously stuck with me enough to be reread.

I liked this one. Great suspense and liked the mythology background. I'm going to check out the next one in the series for sure.

i couldn't wait for it to end! but I did finish it. wouldn't recommend it.
