Excellent story dissatisfying ending

Story is excellent as usual
Narrator , well , still getting used to him
Ending is disappointing

Ugggg… left me hanging

This book is masterfully written. It is engaging- oddly believable and impossible in equal measure. I am so sad it just ended in the middle of the story. Ugggg.

Not up to par

I have read/listened to every book they have ever written and just do not like this story line. Usually I really look forward to their next book not so much this time.

Minor spoiler included, so be forewarned...

Spectacular. Nothing else needs to be said, but, in an effort to not leave a one word review, I will wax shamelessly on how engrossing, interesting, and effective this novel was at keeping me coming back for more. Honestly, I could not put it down, and with the Audible narration being supplied by none other than Jefferson Mays (THE voice of The Expanse novels), it was a truly pleasurable experience! Minor spoiler, so if one wants to read with no foreknowledge whatsoever, stop reading now, and go enjoy this book!

For those who stayed, the ending is as huge a cliffhanger as The Waste Lands was for Dark Tower fans. Those who read those books are shuddering as they read this, and know EXACTLY what I mean. The upside is that we can rest assured the next Pendergast novel will be released before five years pass, as was the case for DT fans after The Waste Lands. I still feel trauma over that

Great as always

I understand readers being upset with the cliffhanger ending, however that does not take away that the story is well written and intricate as all of the Pendergast novels are.
