Mensgerie Murders

Another entertaining, intelligent , and fun story of Lady Hardcastle & her lady’s maid. I highly recommend this. Hope they’ll be more.

So much fun!

Oh my gosh, every new book in this series, I say the same thing: this is the best one yet! But this one really was delightfully fun! The initial deaths were a little more gruesome than usual, but they weren’t related in too much gory detail. But the characters were all in fine form, and I probably laughed out loud more often at various lines of dialogue than with any of the other books. So funny! I did pretty much solve the mystery fairly early, but really, the mystery is only a secondary feature of these books. It’s the characters that are the focal point.

Absolutely a delightful listen!!

I enjoy the story. I like listening to the books. Not Shakespeare but enjoyable to listen to as I go about daily tasks.

Witty Banter, delightfully impish

TE Kinsey is brilliant, and Elizabeth Knowelden brings the characters to life. I am only disappointed that there is not another book. I know, I know, there’s a whole another series following a sub character from this series. I know. But this is the one I want. There must be more. Sigh. I miss the cheeky humor, the strong female characters… All of it.

It’s like being back with my old pals!

This book is as entertaining as all the others in the series—I often turn to Lady Hardcastle and her “tiny servant” to get away from it all. The writing is humorous, witty, touching, and intelligent, and of course there is always mystery! This narrator is the one I always hope will be on board, as her easy style always brings the characters and situations to life so perfectly. I can’t imagine Lady Hardcastle and Flo without her! What a fine author-narrator duo!

So Fun!

This latest addition to the Lady Hardcastle series was so fun…despite the murder of course! This was such a unique story with a fun twist that was unexpected. I am already a huge fan of Emily, Florence, and all the charming villagers of Littleton Cotterell, but I found them all even more charming after this addition, I even loved little Minty. 😊 I’m excited for the next book in this utterly endearing series!
