Resumen del Editor

He was a trained assassin. The best of the best. A hunter. A spy. A monster.
But when they killed the woman he loved, he disappeared.
Only there's one problem: You can never hide from the CIA.

A weapon equivalent to a small nuclear bomb is missing.
Not one intelligence agency in the world has a lead.
Everyone that gets close to the truth, ends up dead.

His country needs him.

Jason Drake has to confront his past and come to terms with who he is.

The only way out, is to go through hell.

He has to kill the woman he loves.

If he doesn't, Washington, DC, will go up in flames, and the world will be at war.

The Assassin's Betrayal kicks off one of the most full-throttle CIA assassin series to hit bookstores in decades. It has been created from the ground up, with the help of present and former national security operatives, to fill the space between Jason Bourne and Mitch Rapp. The extensive series will see one new novel every four months.

Auston King's shocking debut thriller has so many twists and turns, you will be left shocked.

Auston King is the author name for a man who prefers to keep his anonymity about him. He's an avid reader, who has consumed every Tom Clancy, Brad Thor, Lee Child, Vince Flynn, and Robert Ludlum book he could get his hands on, and he wants to share stories that entertain, provoke, and leave you wanting more.

Exciting book and bad narration..

A good story BUT I don't recall anyone getting assassinated. A lot got killed in different battles so I don't understand the title. It was about 2,000 tons of ammonium nitrate fertilizer smuggled into Washington, DC and the hunt that went on for it.

I liked Jason Drake and his friend and partner Clyde Colt, as well as recently promoted CIA Director Kate Price and her spy/secretary Sierra White. It was an exciting book but sometimes the words were kind of silly. If this were self-published the author should have ay least got a proof-reader, and if he had one then he needs to get a new one. IMO

There was no sex and the F-bomb was used 136 times, and they were not always used at the right time.

As for the narration: John Andrews is not all that good. There is no difference in the voices whether a man or a woman's talking. No attempt was made in making his voice sound a little more feminine. This seems to be the only narration for JA so practice, Mr. Andrews. Also, he laughed 1 time when it was called for but other than that all he did was read the book. No emotions whatsoever.

Definitely not a fan

Performance was poor and story was full of holes. Not very realistic at all. Rushed through important storylines with little effort or explanation.

No More Austin King

Wow. I listened to the whole novel. Here are my takeaways:
—Austin King is not Vince Flynn or Kyle Mills
—Very formulaic plot and story line for this genre
— Major logic and unanswered questions problems with the plot line. Like how did the magnitude of the threat possibly make it to is ultimate destiny?
—Could not get excited about fertilizer as a threat
—Writing style average
—Narration average
—conclusion was anti-climactic and too sweet
In the end, the hero says “ it’s over, it’s finally over”. That’s how I felt about the book. Seems like a copy cat story to Vince Flynn an other similar authors. I will NOT be reading or listening to other Austin King books. Was disappointed!

Poor Man’s Version of Gray Man

I was originally excited to listen to this story that appeared to be an exciting spy/action thriller. However, it has many of the same elements are the 10+ Gray Man books I’ve read and listen to. But, after listing to about half of the chapters and finding it like a poor version of the Gray Man stories, I decided to stop and delete it. The plot was totally Gray Man, but much weaker. Finally the narration was pitifully weak.
