Good mafia duet

This is Santi Carrera and Thalia Santiago's story, it's the second installment in the Corrupt Gods Duet, you would want to get Bad Blood first, so you understand what is going on. The story itself was entertaining, the characters where interesting. However the Mexican and Spanish sides of the story bothered me a bit, I would suggest some editing on this parts as the phrases where a bit off. The audiobook narrated by Aaron Shedlock and Vivienne LaRue was good, they mispronounced some things in Spanish or didn't understand some of them very well, but I understand they are not native speakers so leaving that aside I think they did a good job, the pacing was good, the sound was balanced, sometimes a bit lower on one of the narrators, but nothing unsettling. If you like mafia stories, this is a good duet to get into.

5 Lifelines over Bloodlines STARS

Picking up after the events of the last book we find that not only was Thalia taken but also Santi’s sister who has a very big secret. I absolutely loved Santi in this one. He will do what he has to to get Thalia back. The Carrera’s and the Santiago’s both will have to work together to uncover the trafficking ring and save their loved ones. I know this isn’t a funny book but I did laugh a few times at the men when they were arguing back and forth. I look forward to more books in this world.

Love this world of characters!!!

Santi and Talia are back!!! I love them! That cliffy from the first book had me reeling.... so I was super glad to finally! I can not even articulate how swoony Santi became is this story! GAH! Before he even knew that his sister was also taken, just for information on Talia he went above and beyond to save the one man he hated most in the rival cartel! And then he would stop at nothing to get them back. These 2 give me all the feels. This book wasn't too spicy, but it was totally action packed and there was some fantastic sexual tension!
And the narration was fantastic! Pulled me right in and wouldn't let me go! Love this duet of books! Hoping for more from some of the other characters in the books.... Like for Ella! And get more about Lola and Sam! Definitely want more from this combined world!

Tainted Blood

Tainted Blood is the second book in the Corrupt Gods Duet. This book picks up right where book one ends. This book is the second half of Santi Carrera and Thalia's story.

Santi and Thalia have had a rough go at it in the first book. Thalia becomes his when he catches her stealing from him. Being on opposite sides of the mafia they are born to be enemies. Santi did whatever he could to get Thalia to be his.

However, now they are having a new battle. Thalia has been stolen from Santi. Thalia is not fighting for her life, and Sanit is fighting as well to get her back to him.

Can Thalia and Santi find their way back to each other? Can Santi get revenge on those who wronged him and Thalia? Will Santi and Thalia get their happy ending?

I really enjoyed this series, and the narrators that read this book were great!

Amazing with breath taking suspense🔥🔥

Wow, reading through these series from Carrera trilogy, Santiago trilogy, and this duet has been amazingly written and narrated. Such an wonderful coming together of rival families. The writing styles of the authors are fantastic with hot scenes, twists and turns. Locking forward to reading Rush and Ruin, Bullets and Thorns and others to come in this Carrera and Santiago storyline. Thanks to the superb narrator with authentic accents👌🏽🔥

As soon as i reached the end of the Bad Blood audiobook, i knew i had to dive right back into this duet! It's been awesome getting to experience this duet again in this new way. I started listening as soon as i could and got right back into the Corrupt Gods world! I really enjoyed this listen so much!

Having listened to both Aaron Shedlock and Vivienne LaRue before i was so excited when i found out these two were narrating Tainted Blood! Aaron and Vivienne immediately grabbed my attention and kept it throughout this listen. From the heart racing moments, the unpredictable, and the emotions, Aaron and Vivienne captured Santi and Thalia's journey so fantastically. I loved what Aaron an Vivienne brought to this story with their narration!

Santi and Thalia's journey continues! I was so glad to get more of these two and their story. As Thalia is kidnapped, Can Santi get her back? Can their hearts survive everything?

I enjoyed Santi's determination and Thalia's strength throughout this listen. I really liked etting to see how these two would tackle things, especially their situations and everything thrown their way! Once again, i was on the edge of my seat, seeing how it'd all play out. I loved how i felt so much with Thalia and Santi throughout both audiobooks.

With Tainted Blood, Ms.Kenborn and Ms.Wiltcher have created a great and dark continuation that i got so into! You'll want to finish this duet in one sitting. I can't wait for more from this duo!

Tainted Blood starts right where Bad Blood ends. Tainted Blood has some darker elements that sensitive readers but not for me. I loved how strong Thalia is and the survivor she became. I've read both the series that this duet is a spinoff from so I loved seeing their parents. Cora Kenborn and Catherine Wiltcher have teamed up to create a great spin-off. Tainted Blood is fast paced with quite a few twists and turns, some I saw coming, others not so much. I loved how Santi would burn down the world to find and keep Thalia but that Thalia is more than capable of lighting the flame herself, if needed. I want the two other stories teased in this book and I loved the mafia underworld created. There are so many players, so much deception and intrigue. The Carrera's and Santiago's are two of my favorite mafia families and I want all the stories. Cora Kenborn and Catherine Wiltcher both are great writers and make a fabulous writing team.

Excellent, spicy, dark and engrossing

Fantastic conclusion to this duet! I absolutely loved the first book of this story, and this was a great continuation and conclusion. The passion and fire between Thalia and Santi is fantastic, and I loved all their interactions, both good and bad! Her headstrong and willful demeanor is quite the match for Santi’s powerful alpha male.

As they work together (most of the time) to try and pull their families together against a common enemy, their connection only grows and sizzles at a stronger level. I absolutely loved their dynamic, the back and forth, and the spice!! The story itself was intense and action packed. Overall this was a great story, and the overall duet was wonderful. The narration is absolutely fantastic, the perfect narrators for these characters, and they brought this story to life even more!
