I loved this book.
I loved this book. I discovered Stoicism about a year ago by reading Happy by Derren Brown. I didn't enjoy that quite as much but wanted to look into the topic more.

The tone of the book is also delightful, as the style is very conversational and easy to read. I am rarely so pleased with a modern publication (they're usually full of repetitive fluff so publishers can mark up the price for the extra pages), but I could not be happier with this one. I keep it by my bed so that I can regularly reference it.

I have really enjoyed reading this book and have already recommended it to quite a few other people, and am considering buying it as gifts. It is a wonderful introduction to the Stoic way of life, with extremely concrete, practical advice that you can easily incorporate into your daily routine. The tone of the book is also delightful, as the style is very conversational and easy to read.
