Love the characters and how they develop throughout the storyline. I recommend this for light hearted listening to forget about work

Classic Case of Wanting Who Doesn't Want You

Books 4-6 in the Starry Hollow Witches series is a classic case of a woman (the witch) wanting a man (the vampire) who doesn't want her. The man has said he doesn't want to be with the woman and has shown he doesn't want to be with her by dating other women. Ok, actually, it's more like the man doesn't think they'll be good for each other although he's obviously attracted to her, but whatever. Meanwhile, another man (the werewolf) who enthusiastically wants to be with the woman is essentially being used as a placeholder (let's be honest) with the hopes that the guy who doesn't want to be with her somehow changes his mind. Typical. For the most part, I really like the protagonist and witch, Ember. She's smart and witty, except when it comes to love, but at least she seems to understand that she's being unreasonable. It's unclear why or how she loves the vampire character, Alec. We literally know nothing about him, which is typical of vampire characters in such stories. How do you love a stranger? He's dark, brooding, and mysterious. But let's be honest, he's just boring lol. At least Granger (or however his name is spelled) has a personality and does let her in somewhat. Besides Ember's romantic conflicts, the plots in books 4-6 held my attention and the narration is always excellent. My favorite character is obviously Raul, who provides the best comic relief. I'm definitely going to continue with the series. I just hope Ember's love life doesn't turn out how these stories usually do: her in the arms of the vampire (ugh!). I highly recommend. I'm pretty sure you'll find yourself agreeing with me lol. My other criticism is one I raised in my review of Books 1-3: I don't need the character reminding me every 5 minutes that she's from Jersey or that her parents died or that she never knew her mother or that her husband died. Girl, I get it.

Author made it believable and narrator was smooth . I listened and didn’t have trouble concentrating .

A very very cozy witch story

It is a good series but the romance is rated below a G level for the most part. The mystery is good and learning her powers are fun but the endings are very non suspenseful. I like the characters a lot and the author does an amazing job making you like them
