Be loud. Lean in. Take your seat at the head of the table. I want the whole room to know that when my wife speaks, it's time to sit down and listen.

Lennox

Thanks to my reckless roommate, I'm about two skips away from being homeless. Temp jobs aren't paying the bills, and now I have to cancel the scuba diving trip, which I can no longer afford.

At least I'll be spared from my instructor's tempting smile and rock-hard abs. Dex is wonderful, but he's only ever treated me like a friend… a really good friend. In fact, when he hears I'm having money problems, he comes up with a way we can help each other.

In a clever scheme to ensure her jaded, love-doubting grandson didn't end up alone, Dex's grandma left her company to Dex's… wife. Except he isn't married. Until me, that is.

Now I'm suddenly the CEO and majority shareholder of a billion-dollar cruise corporation. I'm unprepared, and the sharks in the boardroom are scarier than the great whites in the water. But the plan is simple. Play the part for a year, hand the company back over to Dex, then get divorced. Easy. In exchange, I'll never have to worry about money again.

But it's not long before I realize the company is in danger and a lot of people need my help. And now that I'm acting like the boss, there's a look in Dex's eyes I've never seen before. Something more than friendly… Because when he calls me "wife" lately, it doesn't seem like it's for show.

Snapshot is a spicy billionaire, marriage of convenience, and office romance. It is book two in the Lessons in Love series but can be enjoyed as a complete standalone.

Dex is even better than Finn. Love their story and commitment to each other. Loved how loving and patient he is with Lennox.

My new favorite couple in this series

I think that Kay Cove has something that will make you sit up and take notice. These stories aren't funny, but they are smart, and witty. Excellent choice when you don't want a lot of drama in your reading.

Dex has been the Rich Scuba Shop owner next door for about 3 years. When Lennox met him on the night of his housewarming party, the sparks were instant. But Dex was smart enough to know that Lennox was going to be more to him, so he offered friendship instead. When he needed a wife 3 years later, and they were both single, it was a no-brainer for him.

I could go on and on about story & sub-plots but I'll just say that I have been more than pleasantly surprised by Kay Cove so far. Snapshot bounces back and forth from brief chapters of their 3 years ago lives and present day and it all flows.

Additionally, the bonus epilogue is probably the best thing I've ever read. If I say I loved it, it wouldn't be enough.

Great story with good narrators

I have enjoyed Kay’s previous book, Camera Shy which gave us bits and pieces of Dex. I didn’t love him as much as Finn. I am still a fan and worth a read.

Dex lacked personality

Lennox has been catching my attention since Camera Shy, so getting her full story in Snapshot was a treat. From the beginning, her connection with Dex felt honest, intense, and deeply rooted. They just made sense together.
Their chemistry was off the charts. But what really makes their love story stand out is the steady, grounded devotion they show each other when life doesn’t go according to script.

Rather than unravel at the first sign of trouble, Lennox and Dex double down. They communicate, compromise, and prove that “working it out” isn’t just a trope—it’s a choice. This is the kind of romance where the real swoon happens not just in the heat of the moment, but in the quiet determination to stay side by side.

A heartfelt, steamy, and beautifully grown-up love story. Kay Cove consistently delivers the kind of romance that hits all the right notes: heart, steam, and substance. Snapshot is no exception. Another standout in a lineup of amazing reads.❤️

Diving Into Love

Dex and Lennox’s story was superb!! Friends to lovers, billionaire romance, with some family drama. The connection between Dex and Lennox was hot! I love their relationship and how it blossomed throughout the story.

I really liked Lennox’s character in Camera Shy (the previous book) and was excited to follow her story with Dex. I was not disappointed!

The chemistry of their friendship is what made their intimate relationship so much hotter! The ins and outs of their business agreement and family /heir drama was well written and kept me interested.

I really enjoyed Snapshot!

Friends to lovers is the hottest!

I don't usually do a lot of friends to lovers and marriages of convenience books, but I did enjoy the journey for this book and the spice was a great bonus as well!

Friends to lovers to Marraige of Convenience

This is the second book in this series and I am hooked and loving this world. Having met Lennox and Dex a little bit in book one I was excited to see where their story went. I am a sucker for a good friends to lovers story so this one had me hooked. I loved the friendship between Lennox and Dex and their love story was just perfect. Although my heart broke for the challenges that they faced and the heartbreak they both experienced it was just a wonderful story of how they were able to overcome those challenges.

Friends to Lovers at its best

I really enjoyed Lennox and Dex, both characters from book one (camera shy). This story wasn’t quite as emotionally taxing as book one but def a story with twists and turns. I personally did not love Oliver Clarke for the narrator but that was a personal voice preference.

Snapshot was absolutely amazing! The narrators did such a wonderful job with both characters! Lennox is such a force! I’m so happy she got her own story with Dex 💜

Best one from lessons in love

I read this right after Camera Shy, and while I enjoyed the story, it didn’t have the empowerment I felt from Camera Shy. Maybe I’m not supposed to feel that empowerment. This book focused on a financially unstable FMC starting to gain confidence in her life after finding out her crush is a secret billionaire.

FMC Lennox has had a crush on MMC Dex for three years but they both couldn’t act on their feelings for different reasons. Lennox was in a relationship with a good guy and Dex was afraid of putting his feelings out there if she turned out to be a gold digger. They let their friendship blossom instead and when Dex found out he didn’t inherit his family’s business like he thought - his wife did - he had to scramble to actually find a wife. In walks Lennox, freshly broken-up, newly without housing, and in need of a friend to lean on. Dex opens up about everything and asks Lennox to be his wife for a year so he could then inherit his family’s business. Lennox agrees and the two work out a marriage of convenience while falling even more in love with each other.

There is some underlying plot surrounding Dex’s grandmother who left the business to Dex’s wife, and we flip back and forth in time to see some of her story as well.

I listened to and read this book and enjoyed both. It’s a duet (rather than a dual) narration, but each narrator did a great job.

Great storyline!
