I laughed, I cried, I laughed

what a great story. You start out the story with just laughing Which you continue to do And then you get into some Serious stuff Along with some more laughing And then some serious crying Red face crying Back to crying and laughing To crying To smiling from ear to ear Now I'm sure that didn't make a lick a sense. but those were my emotions as I went through this story. so was it good yes it was great if you want to laugh do a little crying put a big smile on your face the story is absolutely for you the narrators do an excellent job of bringing this story to life and I definitely recommend.

Dynamic duo slayed once again

The dynamic duo of John Lane and Maxine Mitchell has once again slayed their roles. The fun romance was brought to life by their amazing narration skills. You could feel them channeling their inner Casey and Jessie. Each role they perform becomes a part that they perfect. Hearing John as the growly firefighter-landlord hero and Maxine as the determined IT specialist-tenant was chef’s kiss, I’ll be revisiting this couple in the near future again, perfection.

Great read

lots of laughs and engaging characters. the story was a fun listen, fast paced and engaging. narration was excellent as well.

A fun & heartfelt romance

This was a wonderful audiobook. Jesse and Casey's romance was a superb blend of funny, emotional, heartfelt, spicy, sweet, dramatic, poignant and cute that had me smiling, sighing, melting, swooning and choking up. This amazing romance is brought to life by the excellent performances that are given by both narrators. I thought that their voices fit the characters perfectly and that made this audiobook a genuine pleasure to listen to and get swept up into.

Adorable and spicy

I have LOVED the My Favorites series from Melanie Moreland. Fun, spicy, swoony and sweet, overflowing with banter and chemistry, and of course the most fun pets. They are all FANTASTIC on audio- and My Favorite Hero, the third (all are standalones though) is out now! And it has everything I love about this series- banter, heat, funny pets (a dog and cat who love each other), delicious chemistry, and most of all, so much heart. It’s a feel good and charming love story that charmed from the start.

The audio for this was SO GOOD and so perfectly cast. John Lane is impeccable and delicious as broody firefighter Jesse, and Maxine Mitchell brings ALL of the sassy fire of Casey. Their vocal chemistry is fantastic and they brought the banter and heart to life so vividly. It was such a ray of sunshine to listen to- I grinned and laughed and swooned. Such a fun story and a great part of this amazing series!

Pixie Favorite Hero

My only problem with this book was that I couldn’t make it last longer — I absolutely devoured it! Then I turned around and listened to the audiobook again. I received this as an ALC and loved every minute of it. John Lane and Maxine Mitchell were fantastic as always.
I laughed out loud so many times — thank you, Casey and Thorne (that Windchimes War scene!), and the roof scene nearly made me tear up. There were so many touching, funny, and heartfelt moments. I giggled, I swooned (the towel scene!), and completely melted during the pet cuddles. Somehow, Melanie Moreland did it again. This book felt like its own little world, full of warmth and charm.
The first meeting between Casey and Jesse? Pure perfection.

Laugh out loud loved this book

I can’t get enough of this book. The audio takes it a whole other level and you won’t be able to stop yourself from laughing out loud. Sooo may great moment and the narrators truly were amazing!

Fantastic enemies to lovers, firefighter rom-com w/ perfect narrators!!

𝐌𝐲 𝐅𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐨 is the third book in the My Favorite series by Melanie Moreland, featuring a laugh out loud rom-com for Casey and Jesse that also brought all the feels! I loved every second of witnessing this grumpy firefighter/landlord be brought to his knees by a sassy IT specialist tenant who attracts trouble like a magnet! The meet cute was priceless, and the feisty banter was always on point, complete with a fiery chemistry and tension that felt like foreplay from early on! One of the things I love about this author, though, is her ability to weave depth into her characters, even in a romantic comedy scenario, where that aspect sometimes gets overlooked. Jesse and Casey both have some emotional vulnerabilities keeping them from pursuing a lasting relationship, and peeling back those layers was such an important part of this journey, and made me love them so much more! They were exactly what the other person needed, and that evolution was just beautifully done! As a committed dog mom, I fell hard for the pets, who stole the show with their adorable best friendship! I’ve owned 4 golden retrievers in my life, and none of them would willingly cuddle with a cat, but Miller and Barney stole my heart!🥰😂 I love a book that takes me through every human emotion, and this one did that with ease, with the added bonus of making me laughing to the point of tears over some of the antics.🤣 I really needed that today!

The audio version was narrated in dual format by John Lane and Maxine Mitchell, who have become one of my favorite narrator pairings! They brought this couple to life with perfection, nailing the humor, the emotion, the passion, and the flow of the story. Timing is important when comedy is involved and they were just *chef’s kiss* as always!! I highly recommend this story! I listened and read along at the same time, but choose your favorite format! They’re both fantastic!!

So all they have to do is fight the fear and give it a chance.
But this fight may be the hardest thing they have to do in their lives. And they may need help and memories of others around to be brave.

But get ready to get so much more, because the narrators again again did brought this story to another level!!

- banters and funny moments, passion moments not only in the bedroom and of course the pets, they give so much more life and joy to the story.
And the side characters, especially Lou, I loved her story and how you may think you know someone and then realise how much more pain and love is there behind, but this person was able to keep going and influence others lives in good way.
And the epilogue again great great great!!!

Loved this story and it brought me so much joy and well again can't wait to get another story. Because there is never a bad story by Ms. Moreland and when it is narrated by Ms Maxin & John it will be definitely a success.

Romantic.

Sweet, flirty, funny with some great banters. This book makes me feel warm and relaxed like a warm blanket. The firefighter hero always gets me in all the feels since it’s one of my favorite male heroes. It’s great to about the life of firefighter and see the sweet side of the hero main character outside of the job. Casey is exactly what Jesse needs, strong, independent and sassy, together they make some hot romance with tender moments, hysterical incidents that makes the elder neighbor call 911. All around great story.
