Resumen del Editor

Slay narcissists—the ultimate bullies—in negotiations by following this simple formula—developed by one of the top 1 percent of attorneys in the nation—a proven method to take you from victim to victory, without backlash!

Whether your relationship is professional or personal, narcissists have a way of honing in on their prey that is unparalleled.

The path into hell is camouflaged, artfully concealed under lies and charm, red flags skillfully diverted away, until you finally realize that their tactics have left you feeling utterly drained to your soul.

The population of narcissists is becoming an epidemic. The problem is that we’ve been applying a blanket approach to negotiation with narcissists and expecting them to work like they do with reasonable people.

But narcissists’ brains are not wired the same as reasonable people. That is why a conventional approach to negotiation always fails.

But there wasn’t a playbook on HOW to deal with them … until now.

In this book, globally recognized high conflict negotiation expert and top attorney Rebecca Zung shares her revolutionary framework to SLAYing your negotiation with the narcissist.

By the time you’re finished listening, you will know how to shift the dynamic of power and be more confident and empowered in every aspect of your life!

Good practical advice for dealing with narcissists

This book is written for women going through divorce or bad business situations. I’m not going through neither of these situations I’m just dealing with a narcissist who I’ve been dating for years. I did appreciate her efforts to get me through scenarios that I may face with him using her ideas. I found the stories and experiences shared in the book as superfluous.

Finally. A strategy for WINNING.

For basic sanity I agree with the general advice of radically accepting you can’t win with a narcissist or toxic person. They won’t allow it. They won’t let it go. Their narratives and delusions tell them they’ve “won” and all is moot.

But when it comes to fighting in the legal system, if you don’t understand the dynamics you’re up against with people who think this way, you’re in for a world of hurt and more potential trauma.

Rebecca lays out great advice and her stories are relevant. I’ve had to deal legally with both former romantic partners and a former business partner and this book would have helped me years ago. I’m grateful for it now as well as my ex-husband has resurrected some legal issues and this book brought me back to sanity and empowerment.

The first couple of chapters are a review of narcissism. If you’re like me and have spent years learning about it, it will be mostly a review to you.

The following chapters are gold. Rebecca’s distinction between diamond level and coal level supply is brilliant.

I would have liked to have had more information about what to do if you’ve already fallen prey to some of the narc’s tactics and reacted. There was one point in the book I felt like giving up because I didn’t have her advice soon enough, but I listened to the end and I feel heartened.

Thank you Rebecca. I appreciate that you have given us access to your amazing advice.

Book great but too much email advertising.

I felt like I was reading what I say to my clients all the time. Now I can just send them to read this book. Thank you.

Excellent advice

Excellent practical advice. This was made more interesting and useful by vignettes scattered throughout the book.

Need a different reader

Difficult to listen because of vocal delivery. Content was good at times but childish vocal inflections were irritating

Disappointment

Barely 10 minutes into 1st chapter when hit with f-word: “I didn’t know sh— about f—!”
(Merely to convey the author’s lack of experience in dealing with narcissists/bullies)

Given that her audience is made up of likely targets of such words, it doesn’t make sense to use them in such a casual, blasé way. Many abuse survivors are gentle & kind, & many wouldn’t dream of reusing words designed to inflict harm…

Also, abuse survivors could be triggered by those hate-filled words being made to seem benign.
This isn’t pub conversation, nor a group of people to impress so they’ll hire her.
Surely in her legal education she learned about public speaking?? Specifically, about how to present & adapt a subject to fit the current audience?

That said, she seems to actually have a strategy to overcome abusers’ exploitation of others, & is extremely insightful in her interviews about it.
She’s also highly educated & intelligent, & surely capable of writing a cleaned-up version for those of us who recoil when we hear “abuse words”. I hope she will, I’m desperately interested in her method. Plus, she seems to be a genuine, caring heart♥️
