For better or for worse.

When I said those words in front of the pastor, I meant them. But that was before everything changed. Before it became clear that my wife would be better off without me. I had no choice but to sabotage us, and that was exactly what I did. Even though I pushed Paige to leave, it still hurt like hell, watching her do it. I’d never love another woman for as long as I lived. She was it for me.

I guess those are the sacrifices we make for the people we love. And if I couldn’t make her dreams come true, I had no right to keep her. Not completely anyway.

Fast-forward to a year and a half later, and not a day has gone by where I don’t miss my wife. But I made my bed, and now, it’s time for me to lie in it. And while the rest of my life might be in ruins, my career on the ice has never been better.

At least, until a direct hit to the chest almost kills me. And just like that, my wife, who is my emergency contact, is back. But she isn’t happy with me—because those divorce papers she sent months ago? Yeah… they somehow landed in the trash.

Realizing I will lose her again before I truly have her back, I offer her a deal. Ten days to prove we should have never separated. Ten days to redeem myself. And ten days to come clean about everything I’ve been hiding.

Should be easy enough, right?

Yeah, I didn’t think so either.

The narration was okay.

Paige & Kolt have been married for 10 years, separated for the last year and a half. They were both keeping secrets from the other, in the name of sparing them pain. Kolt finally alienated Paige to the point where she left although he's refused to sign the divorce papers every time they've been sent.

He wants her back, he'll never love anyone but her - and she loves him but they have a lot of communicating to do before they can recover.

Great cast of characters with the entire team, coach, and their families supporting them through it all. I still think that Amelia (Amy) is WAY too verbose and precocious than any three year old. If she'd been a year older, it would have been a lot more easier to believe.

It's a sweet story but has at least one big continuity error - since in the 18 months they've been separated, Paige grieved for weeks before opening her own PT practice an hour from where she lived with Kolt. And now it's thriving without her while she cares for Kolt after a debilitating injury during a game. I'm not saying someone can't be an instant success but she sure accomplished a lot in not very much time.

I'm also not a huge fan of butt play being a requirement of virtually every steamy scene, and I really get tired of reading the dirty little (rhymes with shut) naming during those scenes. I do like the spicy scenes, but maybe I'm just in the wrong generation to have any appreciation for it.
