In all his works, David proves his expertise by knowing exactly what you’re going through with nearly concerning levels of accuracy. This books Is no different. By discovering him through podcasts, then one book, now this next one, who better to walk you through the land of consulting as a tradecraft then a man who remains a pioneer in our field? This was an enjoyable few hours full of specific, actionable insights. This will be utilized as a handbook I re-open over and over again.

A lighter, but deep dive into the art of expertise.

Have always appreciated David’s unique point of view. But sometimes, it hard to hear or apply directly. This season and story was lighter. Easier to hear. And always applicable in many ways. Highly recommended read.

Enjoyed it a lot.

While everyone’s talking about the business of expertise, I enjoyed this book more for the following reason.
Inspiring: when learning about how david started and all of the mistakes he has done. Makes success seem very possible for everyone.
Practical: I find the advice here generally bery practical and to the point.

What’s missing: more on productising services and service design in general.

Not sure you need to read if you read his other work.

I thought this work was OK but The Business of Expertise was much more impactful to me.

It’s a joy to read a book by a good writer who is passionate about the topic.
