Perfect spooky season book

A perfect read for spooky season with all the fall vibes. I really enjoyed this book. It had lots of twist and turns where you would think you had things figured out, but you don’t.

Suspenseful

The story follows the fmc leading you in multiple directions to the very end. I didn't particularly like the way every guy fawned all-over her. The suspense keeps you intrigued.

What Did I Just Read?

I was in the mood for something fall-ish. This was set at and around Halloween and in Massachusetts and there is some dark magic/
cultlike stuff going on. Had I not listened on audio, I am not sure I would have finished. It was all just strange and didn't wrap up well in my opinion. Also, the FMC found every male.character in the book good-looking in some way and found herself attracted to each one. It was funny at first, but became a bit annoying. Also, at the end, she is still seems to like all the men. I think this is a series, but I will not be reading more.

Fast paced thriller that is perfect for a fall read! If you love fall, Halloween and adorable cats this book is for you!

Perfect spooky season book

I devoured this book! The plot twists, the story line, and the slow burn! The way I would think I had it figured out to being completely unraveled!! Excellent book to start out the spooky season!

Perfect for the Halloween season

From the very first page, Salem Falls grips you and doesn't let go. I was immediately intrigued starting with chapter one, drawn into the dark atmosphere and the promise of a deep mystery. The plot is a masterpiece of suspense; the twists in the story were very well written, surprising me at every turn without feeling cheap or rushed. Rektok Ross perfectly paces the tension, making this a true can't-put-it-down thriller. Highly recommend!

Soft Thriller

First, it’s an okay book. I wouldn’t call it a thriller. I was never afraid for her. The events didn’t have me guessing or on the edge of my seat. Nothing really thrilling about it. She was annoying and I felt like she should have been more intelligent. I read this for a book club. I give it a Meh

Whatever works in the moment

My number one complaint of this was the narrator's voices. That being said, I literally cringed multiple times while listening to this. This was not written well. Visuals given for most scenes and even character actions were cliche and brought nothing new or interesting. I really disliked the characters. Their motivations purposefully confusing for the story but not something someone would actually do to cover up their tracks or misdirect others. WHY DOES EVERYONE HAVE TO LOOK STUNNINGLY PERFECT? It becomes gross. Graduating at the top of her class- but can't ask proper questions or do any research herself. Endangering her "bestie" friend's job was a cringe moment as well.
The scene at the end, in the hollow, was good. The line "Anger curled in my stomach" was really good. -for these two things alone I gave 3 stars. Story ok- spiderman stand off at the end-not ok. Kill your darlings as they say.

Great Read

I read this some amazing besties. What a fun read. Following this young women through her journey of trying to find out information for the client she is representing, she discovers some of her family’s hidden secrets to. Loved this story. Such a great read for this time of year.
