Acerca de esta escucha

Two friends—one an orc prince whose ancestral throne is threatened, the other an exiled half-elf—must fight to regain their families' power.

Kiru the half-elf has a lot to live up to as the exiled son of the murdered King Ruken, monarch of the Kingdom of Blades. A fight with a wealthy, spoiled lordling has left him paralyzed from the neck down, but his masterful command of mana keeps his body strong and mobile. Accompanied by his imp familiar, William, and friends Brunhilda the dwarf paladin, Zhaden the gold drakonid rogue, and Mutt the kindhearted orc, he's on a mission to recover his father's lost treasures, scattered across Alterra.

Mutt has never cared all that much about his clan, the M'Baku, which has ruled their homeland of Imakandi ever since its founding after Ragnarök. In truth, he's been too busy hunting and fighting, content to let political matters handle themselves. But his carefree attitude changes when he and the other members of Pandemonium discover a faction within the nation that threatens all who dwell there. Now, one of Mutt's clan must endure the Proving, a set of trials that will determine whether they're fit to lead—and keep the throne in the family.

Kiru makes a deal with Mutt and his sister, queen regent Myev, to help them secure their ancestral throne if they agree to assist him in retrieving his father's items and getting the orphaned sacred beast who has attached to them safely home. As he strives to attain the rank of Ruby and he and his friends fight for their families' position and legacy, they'll endure countless battles. And they'll need all the strength they can get . . .

I love this series! It has so much stuff that I like! Cultivation, game references, mythology, and a lot of fantasy elements! It's a cool take on the genre that I know that LitRPG fans like me love! People should not sleep on this series!

Awesome Continuation!

Ruby

Kiru and the rest of Pandemonium make their way into the orc nation of Imakandi. Mutt’s family should know where the next piece of Kiru’s inheritance equipment is. The problem is that the country is currently being challenged for leadership. If the World Serpent’s cult takes over, the nation will be devastated and the death toll will be gigantic. If they want to have an ally left at all, they will need to step in and help.

This LitRPG is a solid sequel! The whole party gets a moment in the spotlight and grow, both in strength and their personality. Brunhilda has been one of my favorite Paladin characters by far! The side characters are really interesting and I enjoyed learning more about them. There were also some great nods to other series. Kevin Collins does a great job with the narration.

Content Warning: language, cannibalism

Orc trials and beast mana

I know this book is for younger generation but all the obvious wink wink nudge nudge hints before they "connect the dots" as the book always states is ridiculously obvious. Like even a preteen would feel embarrassed that it tool them that long to figure it out. Over and over.

Then you have them acting like idoits. Hiding for 2 months and the first thing they do when meet guards is to give their team name from the academy as thier merc name? THEN say they are from the kingdom of blades? Real smart. Even though any wanted bounty will be like team pandemonium from kingdom of blades with purple hair dwarf paladon , blind orc, gold draconid and half elf. Sooo stupid. Yet they praise them for smart deciet?

Then you have the author trying to make the MC more and more unabled and broken. Taking more bad more power from him and throw up roadblocks when it is clear he needs to start getting strong and healed to make the story progress instead of be frustrating or some off disabled but powerful message trip that will come off as unrealistic and any one in the MC shoes would want all the advantages they can. And would he seeking out healing for his body and dou cores.
