When she dons a disguise and sneaks out of the palace one night to spy on him, she stumbles upon a black market dealing in the very thing she lacks - storm magic. And the people selling it? They're not Stormlings. They're storm hunters.

Legend says that her ancestors first gained their magic by facing a storm and stealing part of its essence. And when a handsome young storm hunter reveals he was born without magic but possesses it now, Aurora realizes there's a third option for her future besides ruin or marriage. She might not have magic now, but she can steal it if she's brave enough.

Interesting new world and take on magic

PG-13 YA. Themes were alluded to without too much detail but just enough not to feel censored.

Interesting take on magic that I hope to see developed further in book two. Typical female protagonist and love interest - which I enjoyed. Am I cruel for hoping there is a love triangle in the next book?

The story line is original , the kingdom is well explained. Love the characters and the romance Story.

I love Nankani. she brings so much life and energy to so many wonderful books! I enjoyed Roar more than i thought i would, the romance was spicy and sweet and the magic was original and intricate. the characters were a little copy paste but the story was great. can’t wait to read the next one!!

Unique fantasy world, doses of action & romance.

Good voice acting, easy to follow who is talking. Great world building-totes unique magic and I was so intrigued by how it worked. Loved every moment.
