Resumen del Editor

Cocky and self-assured, I’m confident when it comes to my skills both on stage and in the bedroom. Everything in my life is perfect, even if I am the last single man standing in our famed rock band.

But it wasn’t always this way.

Jayla knew me before I hit it big. Back when I was a skinny teen, chasing dreams without a penny to my name. Now she’s back in my life and so much more than the girl I remember. Fiercely loyal. Beautiful and badass. She walked out of my life before, and I won’t let that happen again.

They say some songs are better on the second take, and if there’s one thing I know for sure, this is our time for a replay.

The books in the Off Track Records series are interconnected stand-alone romance novels and can be listened to in any order.

Detour: Trent and Lexi's story

Derail: Sean and Jess' story

Hinder: Leighton and Opal's story

Replay: Austin and Jayla's story

A bittersweet ending to a fantastic series.

I’ve been dying to listen to Austin’s story. He’s the resident goofball with a big heart behind his antics. We get to dive more into his psyche in this book, and see he truly has more depth to him than he shows. He’s lovable through and through. Although he has dome terribly cheesy one liners. They make you both groan and laugh. This book had two blasts from the past show up. One was a pleasant surprise, and one was unwanted. Jayla, an old friend (the one that got away) of Austin’s, shows up at a concert. They begin their journey towards love, at a slow burn pace. I typically dislike slow burns, but this is such a good series, and we’ve waited this long for Austin to find love, I let it go. I liked their interactions, and smiled more than I’d care to admit. As far as the UNWANTED blast from the past, Coy is back causing havoc. He’s like a bad penny, but I was satisfied with how that mess turned out. Good riddance Loser Coy.

I’m sad that the 3UG’s series has come to an end. I’ve fallen in love with these guys, and enjoyed their journeys to love. Even when they were just background characters, these bandmates were front and center. I’ve always enjoyed catching up with everyone.

Jason Clarke does it again. Man, I love his voice. He does a great job with each character he voiced. He continues to be a go to narrator, and often deciding factor for even listening to a book.

This is the first time I’ve had the pleasure to hear Morae Brehon narrate. She has a very pleasant voice and I loved how she differentiated between each character. I loved, loved, loved the scenes with her girls at the concert. I had a huge grin on my face when they were getting onto Jayla for not telling them she knew Austin and Trent. It was awesome. I can’t wait to hear more of her work.

Awesome Listen!

Kacey Shea wrote an epic second chance romance in Replay. I loved how she wrote Austin's story. Life was not easy and he got his second chance and did so much good with Jayla. The extended epilogue was incredible. I loved how it included updates on the Detour, Hinder, Derail characters in addition to Austin and Jayla. Jason Clarke was amazing and Morae Brehon added the right balance for Jayla. Both narrators really brought the characters to life.

Austin’s Story is So Good!!!

The many layers of Austin finally are revealed in Replay. This story is so much more than just a second chance with Austin and his high school best friend Jayla. Austin sheds his player persona and the kind, loving, compassionate man we’ve seen glimpses of throughout the series now shines bright. Jayla unlocks the key to his heart. There is angst in this book, steamy times, great banter everyone is in this final book loved it so much!!! Jason Clarke is perfect!

Loved this second chance romance! I loved finding the heart of Austin! I wasn’t really a fan in the first few books, but seeing him love Jayla was perfect! They are a favorite couple for sure!

Behind the Guitar!!

What a great book and ending to the 3UG. I have loved them and Austin has been a huge part through out them all. He is the jokester, man whore you can’t help but love. That’s until Jayla comes to a concert and his past all comes back in a rush. She moved when they were teens and never spoke to her again. Now she a back and he wants to make up for old times.
Her character is a don’t take no crap kind of girl. She has been through a lot and hides her secrets. I love the banter with all the characters but Jayla stands up to Austin and gives him back what he gives. It’s a Laugh out Loud Friends to Lovers story you don’t want to miss. And I can imagine their beautiful babies now!!!!
This Audio book did a great job bringing this story to life. Both Jason Clarke and Morse Breton do a amazing job. So fitting for where we are today.
Awesome book and amazing series. I highly recommend them.

My heart got stuck on Replay.

Austin and Jayla had my emotions all over the place. So much so that my heart got stuck on Replay. Shea puts readers on a collision course with the senses. She speaks to the broken pieces that we forget are there. This is a story that storms through barriers to open your eyes and reawaken your heart.

Kacey Shea saves the best for last................

Replay is the fourth and final book in this series featuring the famous rock bank 3 Ugly Guys as they find their true loves. Throughout the series, Austin has been the biggest player and the most resistant to commitment, so I was very interested to see how Shea would make him fall. With her usual finesse, she writes the perfect match for Austin in Jayla, the new head of the band's security detail and Austin's high school girlfriend. Although they haven't seen each other in over a decade, and they have both faced many challenges since then, the old connection is instantly reignited. At one point in the story, Jayla states that they have the perfect blend of push and pull, and that is the best possible description of their dynamic.

Austin seems very self-assured and arrogant throughout the series, but he is always offering readers a glimpse of the incredible tender and caring man inside. Wow, when he unleashes his true feelings for Jayla, he is one loving guy. Jayla is perhaps the most kick-ass heroine of the series with her background in law enforcement, her specialty in self-defense, and her unwillingness to take flak from anybody. She also hides a very damaged and vulnerable inside, and I loved watching Austin and Jayla heal each other. As with all the books in the series, the band members provide plenty of comedy, but this book also had an element of mystery and suspense that I found especially enjoyable. I am very sad to say goodbye to 3 Ugly Guys, but the book and the series ends with a touching epilogue that assures me that Trent, Sean,Leighton, Austin and their amazing ladies are still the best kind of family.

As I have said in previous reviews, Jason Clarke is an amazing narrator, and I would listen to anything with his name on it. This was my first exposure to Morae Brehon, and I wasn't sure about her performance at first. However, I quickly grew to love her husky voice, and I cannot imagine a better choice for Jayla's personality. The story is told in alternating, first person narrative (which is my favorite), and these two shine as a team. Combining Kacey Shea's beautiful writing with such skilled talent as Clarke and Brehon makes for a very moving and exciting audiobook that will stay with me long after I write this review.

I received a copy of this audiobook at my request in exchange for this honest review.
