Another great entry!

I can't get enough of this series! most isekai books are all Lord of the Rings setting, but this one is like Star Wars/Trek. Books 3&4 had an over arching plot, same with 9&10 here.

Hero forgot he was a noble

Gets ambushed by a fellow merc and then can’t do anything when we know for a fact nobles get a ton of pull not to mention he now’s like 3 noble ladies that would gladly mark that merc as a traitor to the empire soo apparently we have to believe he’s going to bite the bullet and walk away?

Fun Continuation

I like the story though there was a little to much recap, but this is coming off binging the series. While not the strongest entry in the series and more of a wrap up of previous events I do like where the story could go and the introduction of Looter Marry I hope the author does more with her.

It was also good to see the MC sweat a little making him again a very "grounded" isekai protagonist. I can't wait to listen to the next work.

God this book series is great but an among us reference was like whip lash.

Unsatisfying

I'm a huge fan of this series and I have enjoyed all the releases up until now. This one felt like it was 70% needless explaining and 30% "Oh no, we are being targeted but will do absolutely nothing about it." Sadly, it also ended on a very unsatisfying note as that last 30% was never really resolved. I'm sure the next book will be good again, but this one was a dud.

This one is a bit wimpy. MC gets plot downgrade and villain gets mega plot upgrades

The entire series thus far, we've been treated to the MC being an op mercenary with a mysterious and powerful ship and skills. This volume, all of that is suddenly out the window. all of the past successes explained away as flukes all along. The main villain is suddenly making the MC and party run away after getting spanked by a plot upgraded enemy. Wimpy.
