Great story. Terribly written and read.

The story line is great, but the writing style and narration has got to be AI. And not even good AI. But I suffered through it because I wanted to know how the story turned out.

Don’t like AI narrative it would be better with a real person narratiing the story

I prefer narrators who try to use different voices for different characters

The virtual voice was clear and I only noticed a few errors like straight as instead of straight As. But there was no effort at a Latin American accent, no real way to tell which character was speaking other than from the text and no effort to express emotions, for instance when the author tells the reader a character yelled something. The story was OK, but I found it difficult to finish the book.

The computer generated reading

The story was good there were a few times I thought what are they talking about but the story recovered quickly, the electronic reading or whatever was the worst! I almost quit listening for this reason

Too graphic!

I could not even make it through the third chapter of this book because it started getting so graphic, it made my stomach turn. Going into detail about human decapitation, and other horrors was just too much for me. The narration was bland, but that’s to be expectedwhen there’s not a real human or actor telling the story. I did speed it up to 1.25x speed which helped. Do not recommend this book for people who are sensitive to the human condition.

No more virtual voice for me!

I really hated the narration. It was the same voice all the way through, so it was difficult to tell who was speaking. The human narrators change voice to differentiate. Some pronunciation errors.
The writing was a little mechanical as well. I won’t be listening to this author again.

Virtual voice takes away the realness for me

Perhaps it is unfortunate that this virtual voice sounds like the character in ranch the t. V series the woman that was the greedia capitalist that fought the ranch at the end and blocked off the water. I just don't like the pers salady of this voice. And there were a few errors like the abbreviation for private investigator p. I. The voice pronounced as PIE rather than P. I.
They were few other errors, but it's hard to enjoy a book. When the principal character is a voice that you don't like. I think the story was probably pretty good though

Very disappointing

I felt that the book was very juvenile. And the virtual voice used to read the book was rather irritating. The inflections were inappropriate and very unnatural. I listened to the full book, hoping that there would be some improvement in the story, but alas, it did not improve. The descriptions of the characters to the language used, felt like I was reading a novel written by a very, very young teenager. I’m very sorry I wasted a credit for this book!

Horrible robo voice!

I’m not going to be able to finish it. I’ve heard some lousy narration but this AI is the worst. I’m interested in the story but 2 chapters in I had to stop. If you’re expecting excellent actors voicing multiple characters, you will be sorely disappointed with this AI garbage. My husband picked the title not knowing it was robo narrated.
