the cliffhanger!

Love the historic element of this book. Dax and Rose are well written and you can't help but root for them. Lori Prince killed it.

Excellent story

Well written, loved the MC and the story line. From time to time i like reading books that are historically based in the past, there were some inaccuracies historically but who cares. Narration by Lori Prince was excellent.

What a wild ride!

Stacy Lynn Miller is a master at weaving suspenseful stories filled with intrigue and romance. This story is no exception. If you’re looking for heart stopping action laced with a sweet romance set in the prohibition era then this is for you! Absolutely fabulous story with great narration.

Enthralling!

This story is fantastic and Lori Prince’s narration brings it to a whole other level. The inflections and the voice range..just phenomenal!! She has Stacy Lynn Miller’s story to work with though and it is first-rate stuff. The characters are fabulous and the story arc is beyond compelling. Miller hooks listeners with the perfect balance of tension and release; it keeps one listening well into the night. I enjoyed every minute of this audiobook, and I can’t wait to see what’s next for Dax and Rose. Two thumbs up all the way!!

The 1920’s

I really liked this book. I enjoy books that have a great story and not a ton of sex. Excellent job having both.

Great story!

I enjoyed this story written in the timeline of the 1920s. Rose and Dax loved each other in their younger days, then thru sad and unfair circumstances are separated for years, thinking they may never see each other again. The "run into each" other years later, knowing their love still holds, but having to work thru the obstacles their current lives create in order to be able to be together. Lori Prince did a terrific job with the narration (for which she won a Goldie award in 2024!), with particular appreciation for how she voiced Rose when she was nervous and stuttered. I look forward to reading the next book in this series!
