Acerca de esta escucha

“I don’t think this complex is big enough for the both of us, Dr. St. Clair.”

Staring up into the eyes of Ethan Fuller, the single dad and divorce attorney who opened his practice in the same complex as mine, I should have known he was bad news—for my business and my heart.

But when has that organ in our chests ever listened to rational thought, huh, ladies?

As a marriage and sex therapist, I take pride in helping couples revitalize their marriages, or women embrace their sexuality, focusing on empowerment and fighting for love.

But Ethan Fuller stands for the opposite of everything I believe in with a mischievous smile that makes me weak in the knees, threatening my business and everything I’ve built, and eventually sparking a prank war between us.

Until the day he kisses me—and then nothing makes sense besides the raw magnetism I feel for him, and the pure adoration I have for his son.

My brain tells me to be cautious, but my heart leads the way as we give in to our feelings toward one another and visions of our future are all I can see. Until that vision is threatened by one admission that has us struggling to catch our breaths and acknowledging what we truly feel.

And even though I know that walking away was the right thing to do, I fight to uphold the promises I made to his son and myself—the types of promises that have me realizing there is no other man I could see my future with.

What do you do when the person you’re supposed to be with is too scared to admit it? What do you do when you refuse to sacrifice what you want and who you are for a man? And how do you move on when in your heart you know, there’s no one else?

Banter perfection!

No One Else- Harlow James
Narrated by Noah B Perez and Emma Wilder

Rating ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spice 🌶️🌶️🌶️
Narration 🎧🎧🎧🎧

I loved the premise of this story…Therapist vs Divorce Lawyer, new neighbors in the same business complex, hot af divorced grump and sexy af sunshine marriage and sex doctor. The banter in this was off the charts, with pranks for days! And the spice?! Did I mention that she partners with sex toy companies and has to test them all personally before recommending them to her clients? Yeah, he helps her out with the testing! He also has a little boy whom she falls for even before she falls for his daddy. He’s absolutely adorable and gets into all the shenanigans. Of course she has her ladies who brunch to help her with advice along the way, and he kind of has his dudes in his corner as well, but let’s be honest they’re all on her side. 😂😂

Noah and Emma did a great job. I love when narrators can do a good kid voice and they did amazing! I can’t wait to listen to more of these two!

Emma Wilder's narration was truly exceptional. Her pacing and ability to create distinct character voices made listening to the story an absolute delight. Particularly impressive was her male character voice, a feat not easily accomplished, yet she managed it effortlessly. Oliver's childlike voice was spot on, adding depth and authenticity to the narrative.

Noah is a new to me narrator and I felt like he brought a refreshing tone that was easy to listen to. Although his voice didn't align perfectly with the character I had imagined, his performance was nonetheless captivating.

📚Story review📚
No One Else is beautiful story about a sex/family therapist who moves into a complex with a rival divorce attorney that delves into the complexities of love, family, and friendship. Harlow has a knack for crafting relatable, real-life characters, and this story is no exception. I absolutely adore the friend group she’s created in this series and how she weaves and builds on previous stories, but not in a way that leaves you lost if you read them as a standalone. Little Oliver was such a well written child character and totally stole the spotlight at times. Sweet, sweet Oliver. Be still my momma heart! ❤️

Overall this was a touching reminder of the beauty found in life's simplest moments, that left me warm and fuzzy long after the final page was turned. A must-read for anyone seeking a heartwarming escape into a world where love truly conquers and heals.

Quote:
“….to what every women deserves: her king, a ring, and a good dingaling.”

“If you don’t say yes to that, we can no longer be friends. That speech is romance novel gold my friend, and you’re hearing it from a real life man! Kiss him already!”

Special thanks to: Home Cooked Books and Harlow James for providing this copy.

Love love love!

No One Else by Harlow James is book 2 in The Ladies Who Brunch series. We met Amelia in book one. Amelia is a marriage & s*x counselor who is excited to move her in-home practice to a new office. What she didn’t expect was that right across the courtyard would be a divorce attorney, Ethan. Ethan is a jaded single father who doesn’t believe in marriage. So needless to say there is some tension between the two. Which quickly becomes sexual.

I devoured this book! Ethan and Amelia’s chemistry is smoking hot, which made the spicy scenes that much better. Single dad isn’t typically a trope of mine, but Ethan had me changing my mind. The way he took care of his son and Amelia had me swooning.

This was my first time listening to both Emma Wilder and Noah B. Perez, both were amazing! No One Else is narrated in dual style, and both narrators did a wonderful job voicing the opposite sex. They didn’t just bring their characters to life, they made it so you could feel the tension, chemistry, passion and emotion of the book.

Amelia & Ethan

Amelia is a marriage and sex therapist, her mission in life is to help couples revitalize their marriages and help women embrace their sexuality. When she moves into a new building for her practice, she meets her neighbor Ethan who stands for the opposite as he is a divorce attorney. A prank war ensues between the two but along the way feelings start to change and truths come to light.

Wow the instant chemistry between Amelia and Ethan was great! The tension when they were around each other was HOT! Their banter was incredible and their prank war had me laughing! I adored Ethan’s son Oliver! He was so cute!

I listened to the audiobook and both narrators did a great job! They brought the heat and heartfelt emotions of each character! I am always so impressed how the narrators can switch up their voices so well to portray other characters!

So very beautiful!!!

Oh, how much I loved this book!!! I haven’t ugly cried listening to one in a while and this one definitely got me. It is so well written that I literally could not stop listening and became completely engrossed.

Noah Perez and Emma Wilder brought this story to life breaking my heart and putting it back together all at the same time. Their performances were outstanding and showed so much vulnerability I could not contain my emotions.

Amelia's story is the second one in the series. She has made it her life's goal to help people glue their broken relationships back together through therapy after having witnessed the almost failed marriage of her parents. She truly believes that every relationship is worth fighting for.

Ethan is the once scorned divorce attorney who truly believes that couples should end their marriage if it is failing so they can move on with their lives. He also made it his goal to help people having gone through it himself. He has an adorable little boy Oliver that fell in love with Amelia, and she fell in love with him.

They resist each other at first in amusing ways but fate and hot chemistry bring them together like magnets. This book is love, hate pain and lust all wrapped up in one. It will be one of those that you wish you could go back and listen to for the first time once again.

"You're the kind of woman that makes me wonder if I can ever be the type of man who deserves you."

“Sorry the place is a mess, by the way.” My eyes veer around the room. “Nonsense. Don’t apologize. There’s a life being lived here, Ethan. It’s everywhere I turn—the toys on the ground, shoes by the door, drawings on the fridge—they are all details of the child you’re raising and a life that I only wish to have one day.” “You want this life?” I cup the side of his face just as cheering echoes out of the television. But he doesn’t turn toward the noise. His eyes stay locked on me. “I do. I want you and Oliver.”

Amelia and Ethan

This series just keeps getting better and better. Amelia is a sex therapist but more than that she helps couples by guiding them through intimacy issues that may have arrived during their marriage. Ethan he’s a jaded single dad who doesn’t believe in everything that Amelia stands for. When life throws them together and Ethan doesn’t take what Amelia does seriously she helps him see that some relationships are worth fighting for.

I absolutely loved the banter between them and the garden gnomes I LOVED IT.

Loved this audio

The Ladies Who Brunch Series has been amazing to listen to. I am in awe of the stories within these ladies as well as the male characters. These are real life struggles and getting both perspectives as the couples work through them is enlightening and I've enjoyed each one. I've laughed out loud and teared up listening to each one. In this particular story Ethan is a single dad to Oliver and not particularly interested in ever getting into a serious relationship again. He's been hurt by his ex and he's protective of his son as well. That is until he meets Amelia his professional rival. She's stunning has a wonderful personality and can hold her own in their "war" of the businesses. He's a divorce attorney and she's a marriage counselor and they're right across the courtyard from each other. They finally come to an agreement to stop bickering and make an arrangement to satisfy their frustrations. Until that arrangement leads to more than just physical needs. The narrators are fantastic! I've listened to Emma Wilder before and I am a fan. This was my first time listening to Noah B Perez and he's terrific. Their performances are so well done that you can feel the emotions between these characters.
