Incredibly helpful

A very informative and helpful book. I didn't know the difference between gaslighting and manipulating. The author helped me a lot to identify the manipulators in my life and to deal with them. Everyone should get this book.

Actionable steps

Estela gave me various valuable skills I needed to turn the table on my manipulative husband. I wish I got this book a few years ago my life would be much different. Now, I can use my knowledge and my new skills to help other people prevent the manipulators from devastating and abusing them as well. This is a necessary book for anyone who believes that their spouse, boss, friend, or colleague is a manipulator.

I feel so powerful after listening to this book. I believe I will never be in a manipulative relationship again. I have skills, now, to notice the first signs of being manipulated and to stop that immediately.

I like the author' s style very much. It is written so honestly and clearly by a person who has been in a marriage with a manipulator for years. If you ever feel like your self worth has worn down and your trust in your perceptions is disabled you should assume that you have been manipulated and should listen to this book.

To be honest I wasn’t expecting to ever get a book like this but after a series of events in my relationship, I suddenly realized that I was being subjected to gaslighting behavior. Thankfully, I was browsing Audible and found this audiobook, a real Godsend! Well, written and narrated a very timely purchase.

Fantastic Book

While I was listening to Estela's guide about manipulation I was affected by the situation she mentioned. In her book, she described phrases that my husband uses every day, the way he acts, and uses me. If you have the same problem, you will know that the manipulators use guilt, blame, and to shame you - if you dare to say no to any of their wishes. But after this guide, I am prepared for those phrases, and I don't care. It will take some time to get free forever, but I am ready!

This is a great book

This book can help us learn how to deal with manipulation and I think that's very important. We can all experience manipulation in our lives and this book can help us deal with those bad situations. It can also help us realize if we are the ones who are doing something wrong and hurting someone else. Thanks to this book, I realized I've been manipulated in the past but I wasn't aware of it at the time. I will listen to it again for sure!

When you have a lot of friends and social interactions, life is beautiful and exciting. It was very hard to accept that my friend has been manipulated me for years. I did not notice that, at first. I fall into his trap, without even knowing that I am a victim of that abusive behavior. There is a very helpful chapter in this book about dealing with a manipulative friend.
