Give it time and you’ll like it more and more!
At first I was put off at the direct mono tone narration and continually compared to the superb narration of the grayman books, by Jay Snyder however, after couple of hours the different narration type grew on me, then I begin to really enjoy it. Some of the characters were a little growly, but overall I think it was different, but a nice job. Looking forward to more!

Great book, awful performance
This is such a great story, it’s just too bad the performance didn’t match. The accents were horrible and way overdone. I understand the necessity of character voices, but these were cringe worthy. It didn’t help me to visualize anything except buckets of crawfish and extra crispy Colonel Sanders chicken down in the bayou. They were grotesquely over exaggerated and it made me want to fast forward every time the character spoke. I didn’t care for a single voice the narrator used outside of his normal reading voice. It nearly ruined a great book.
