Excellently Dark & Twisted Tale

Valentina Ortiz provides pitch-perfect narration for this dark and twisted tale of teenage twins, high school horror and deeply hidden family secrets. Each character is clearly embodied with a distinct voice that makes you feel them come alive, especially as they come inches within death. The co-authors weave a web of mystery that has you guessing up until the very end. Highly recommend!

I LOVED IT!

I absolutely loved it! This book was full of drama, heartache and suspense! The narration was excellent! It will keep you entertained! The author did an excellent job with the character builds and plot! This was my first book from this author but definitely not my last! I look forward to reading more books by this author! I was given a free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Overall 3.75

This is a hard book for me to rate. It’s not really what I was expecting, especially in the way it ends. If I had done more research I would have passed on this book. It’s not bad and the story for the most part I enjoyed. I can’t say exactly what it is I didn’t like because I don’t want to spoil it. I decided to go with 3.75 starts because I liked most of it. If the ending were different the rating would be higher. Just because it wasn’t my cup of tea doesn’t mean others won’t love it!

Narration was 5 stars. No problem following along with the story.

This book was such a gut wrenching, mind twisting, fun book. I love the twists and turns and I honestly never saw the end coming. Still kinda processing lol. But absolutely a great book.

A MUST READ!!!!

I was honoured to received this and asked to give a review.

This book is a beautiful mix of thriller, suspense, mystery, anticipation with a twist.

The storyline was beautifully written with the perfect amount of twists and moments I did not see coming. Characters were unique yet relatable in some ways and you just couldn’t help but love them.

The narrator for me did a great job portraying the emotions and really selling the story so that it felt more believable as opposed to just reading words. In the beginning I thought her voice was a bit too mature for the character itself but the longer I went into it the more I started to see her voice was actually great. Very easy to listen to and had a almost calming quality to it. I would have liked a male narrator even if it was just for 1 chapter. For me I feel like it would have pushed the story just that but higher and been perfect especially the end.
Otherwise the narrator did a great job and made listening easy and enjoyable.

Such a bittersweet ending I absolutely love how it ended. So much emotion through this story that you can’t help but feel a little wrecked when it’s done.

I have recommended this book to every and anybody I know regardless if this genre isn’t what they would normally read and every single one have loved this book.

A big Cudos to A.E Murphy for an amazing experience with this book. I can’t wait to see more from her.

Talk about living in the mind of an insane individual

This was a twisted tale that blew my mind. If you enjoy a good mystery, with a splash of romance, a helping of grief, and a dash of anger than this is the book for you. I won’t give anything away so I will say just go ahead and listen , because this book has a little bit of everything and just when you think you know what’s going to happen you get the shock of realizing you didn’t have a clue where the story was heading.

Omgomgomg!!

This is most definitely one of the best books i've read/listened to in recent memory. The narrator wasn't my absolute favorite but still good, and good enough to still enjoy the book. My best advice is to go into this one blind...don't you dare read any spoilers-not one! The angst meter is off the charts, so if you want the feels look no further. Mystery, romance, tragedy, twists.... its all there. I've already said too much, just download it!

Brilliant Story! Twisted & Gripping! Great 🎧📚🎧

Consider me wowed! This story is brilliant, it is well written with interesting storylines that are captivating from start to end. This is the type of book that the less you know about it going in the more rewarding it is in the end. The characters are complex and well developed, Lilith Deville is the new student at Lakeside Preparatory Academy. She seems to have a chip on her shoulder and first comes off as anti-social. But that changes after she knocks heads with Nokosi Locklear, the one with the bad boy reputation. They may have been each other’s challenge at first but there was no denying the chemistry between them. Each had their own issues and inner demons, one of them being anger issues. This book takes you are a dark and twisted ride and it will blow your mind in the end. The story is brilliantly plotted, there is plenty of drama, angst, romance, twists and turns, mystery, thrilling suspense, heartfelt and emotional moments, as well as heartbreaking ones. A.E. Murphy, thank you for this brilliant, mind-blowing story!

She brings the characters to life, gives each their own distinct voice which makes it easy to follow along and who is who.
