This was a thrilling read with some great spice! Phenomenal narration as well as just an enticing and captivating story!

live the story and then complicated lives of the characters that really make you relate to them. side note- I need a friend like zeke- seems pretty awesome lol

Can’t stop thinking about it

I forget almost every book after I’ve read it, but I haven’t stopped thinking about this one in over a year. I just gave it a re listen and I still love it. There is a lot of characters that are kinda hard to keep straight and some drama that goes on for longer than needs to, but I don’t care cuz I’m obsessed with Cruz.

Great book

I really liked this book and it held my attention all the way through! It had loveable characters and a great plot with lots of twists! The MMC really understood the MFCs boundaries and was patient while she worked through her trauma. He was able to be there for her without scaring her away too often! The progress she showed by the end was heart warming!
My only setback was the number of side characters. I really like a lot of them but there were so many that at times I couldn’t keep track of who was who. Not to mention, some of them got called by their first name sometimes and by their last name other times so that kind of confused me too. Just when I thought I finally got it down I would end up wandering who was who again!
Overall, I didn’t feel like that ruined the experience for me though and still enjoyed the book!

Amazing as usual

Well written and deep. So happy that Mara gets her own story. Loved it!

Not really what I expected...

What I liked: Actual hockey action. (I love hockey, so kudos, because this is lacking in many other hockey romances.) Cruz is a likeable character. (The scenes with his family are touching and sweet.) Narration is very good. (Desiree is very good. Connor Crais is my fav. He always gives a strong performance. I chose this book because he narrates. Well, that and the hockey!) I'm glad the characters got an hea.

What I didn't like: Too many characters. Some early and mid chapters have lots of action -- coming and going to parties, etc.--but fail to move the story forward. I struggled to finish. I couldn't really relate to Mara.

Loved story and Mara and Crews

I will admit I had trouble keeping all the characters and their back stories straight, but it didn’t affect my love of the book. Narrating was excellent.

Awesome

The storyline was great Mara was introduced in Rich prick and she was the mean girl. I love that she was redeem she wasn’t the mean or the bitch she had her walls up because of her mom who had mental problems.

Cruz understand Mara the way she is because he know mental health his sister suffer and kill herself and harm his younger sister. He never forgave her for what she did but he starting to understand it.

Heart eyes for Cruz

Great story line and amazing narrators. MMC is a 4 star book boyfriend! The perfect amount of story and spice.
