I guess you could say I was a damsel in distress, and he was my knight in shining armor. But more accurately, I was a girl with a lot of bad luck, and he was a guy with a lot of muscles and tattoos.

Jude "Lucky" Lucketti wasn't just a sexy, brooding construction worker. He was my own personal hero, showing up in all the right places at the right times. Like when my car broke down and I needed a ride home, and when I face-planted on the sidewalk right in front of him and had to be taken to the emergency room.

We became friends, and it didn't matter that he was 16 years older than me. We had a lot in common - like our love of old rock music and vintage fast cars and our aversion to relationships.

When he approached me with a crazy idea to help me out with my many problems, I couldn't say no.

The arrangement was supposed to be temporary. A marriage on paper and nothing else. It should've been easy, but it wasn't. Because here I am, 18 years old, still in high school, and married to a man I was never supposed to fall in love with.

We had just one rule - no kissing the bride. But we broke that rule, and it sealed our fate forever.

Wow 😶 So. Good! Such a beautifully written age gap (16 years difference) hot romance. ❤ I love the exploration of right and wrong, stigmas and what's socially acceptable in these taboo pairings.

Excellent story. My first with the age gap

Good story. Best one I’ve heard in a long time. Emotional roller coaster. Little bit frustrating that they kept fighting over the same thing- like a merry go round. Narrators were perfect.

Amazing, phenomenal, spectacular!!! There aren't enough words of praise to describe this audio and the narrators who brought it to life! Aiden Snow and Desiree Ketchum were the absolute perfect duet for this story. I loved every single second of it!!!

She does it again!

Carian Cole does it again! Brings her characters to life with this amazing age gap love story. You can’t help but love Jude and Skylar and their amazing connection. Carian is an amazing author and I love the passion in all her books.

If you don’t want a book about an age gap then obviously don’t read this.

I like the story! I thought it was pretty cute. I listened to it within a day. It’s not full of sex, but has I think 2-4 different scenes in the book. There is good buildup. Good character build up. It’s always hard to fit a whole character into one book, that is why I usually read series. However, I would read more by this author and have. I suggest reading Torn by Carian Cole before reading this one! ;) you’ll understand once you read both!

LOVE IT!

Top notch narrators. Great story line. Slow burn. The author did a great job. I can't wait to start the series starting with Storm. Great age gap/fake marriage/forced proximity blue collar romance.

A Great Read ...

This book has so much heart , Two people both beaten up by life . Years a part in age and lie experience found each other at a time we they both needed help to hold. and they find in each other. Its a slow burn and the romance takes a while to show up but it so worth it.

Loved This One

This is my first by Carian, and I so loved her writing. I listened to the audio of this one and enjoyed it so much. The narrators did amazing with this story.

I really enjoyed Jude and Skyler. They have a lot of push and pull and trying to do what they think is best for the other.

This is an age gap romance, and it will have you swooning!
