T.L Wainwright wrote this beautiful love story. It is well written and will bring out the emotions we expect from a romance. I love the characters and how they came to be. This is a new author for me as well as a new genre. I usually run from all things Historical. I am happy I listened to this story, I will be looking into more from T.L Wainwright. Well Done! Historical Romance at its best.

Something sweet and unexpected

First I want to applaud the narrator, Rooke did a superb job with the narration of this book. The switch between characters and accents is some of the best I've heard. Excellent work.

Now time to give praise to T.L Wainwright for this amazing story. I would never have imagined that such a sweet and sexy story could take part during World War two. Love is the last thing you associate with World War two.
Wainwright's characters come to life and I found that while listening to the book the scenes played out in my imagination like a film. Especially Jenny, her innocence comes across strong in the beginning of the book and she definitely grew into a perfect MC.

Wow... loved this audio!

Never had I ever had an audiobook make me cry until this one. The story was just ...... amazing! The love between Jenny and Teddy made my heart swell. The story of the years and through the war the love of two people. The love, lost, connection......I just loved this story. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

A wonderful story ❤. I was hesitant at first but after listening to sample, I took the bait. Hook, line and sinker. Adding this Romance, well written and acting to my Favorites! No, is there book2?

WWII Love story

My Sweet GI by T.L. Wainwright is a romance story taking place in England during WWII. It is a beautiful story that captured my heart from the start. Jenny is a sweet young woman who meets Teddy when he comes into the shop she works at looking for candy. Even though they’re from different countries, they find a connection that pulls them tougher quickly. What will the war do to this connection?

The narrator Rooke Kingston is wonderful at helping the story along and easily makes us realize each of the characters. Thank you Ms. Kingston for the beautiful narration.

Emotional

I find myself very emotional after listening to this book. In a beautiful way. I connected to the characters instantly and felt emotionally invested. The narrator did a fantastic job conveying the emotional story. Loved everything about this.

great story

I enjoyed this WWII romance story. This is my first audible by this author and narrator. I enjoyed the tone of voice and how it would change a little with each character. I found this to be easy to listen to which helped with my enjoyment. This is a story about Teddy and Jenny. When Teddy steps into the shop that Jenny works at, her life changes from that moment. But war could be the end of a relationship before it really starts. This was a sweet story and I truly enjoyed listening to it. I highly recommend this audio.

My Sweet GI is a beautiful historical romance by T.L. Wainwright. This is the first book I have read/listened to by this author, but it definitely won’t be the last. This book features Jenny and Teddy, and their story in England during World War II. This book is a little bit of sweet with a little bit sassy. I listened to this book in one sitting because I just couldn’t stop until it was finished. It was well worth my time.
This book is narrated by Rooke Kingston. This was the first book I have listened to by this narrator, and I just fell in love with her voice. I look forward to listening to more books narrated by Rooke in the future.

Adorable! Must read first romance!

My Sweet GI is a story about a young girl growing up in a small city where everything is copacetic. Everybody goes to church, everybody dresses the same, and everyone has the same ideals. When a group of soldiers from America are stationed in this little town, it turns it upside down. All the young women are enthused and all of the mothers and fathers are stressed. This story dives into a world of romance, naivety, temptation, and consequences. I personally got so lost in this story, I felt like I was in it. The narrator has a great accent and the writing is precious. Read this book if you are looking for a cute story about first love and it’s repercussions.
