Sad and happy

Are there spells or is there a thread binding love of a manándote a women and their progeny. Fromthe horrors of war to the joyous reunion of those thought to be lost. A mystical story of a Jewish Frenchwoman and an American hero working with the resistance. And a modern day story of the granddaughter of Soline and her beloved kidnapped in the Sudan. It is all sewn together to have a heart wrenching happy ending.

couldn't stop listening. the ending was a bit predictable but enjoyable. loved the narration

Wonderful story!

I loved the story. I know others couldn't listen to it because of the French accent but I found it to be just fine. Don't pass this book by because of the narrators.

Comfort reading. leaves you with a warm feeling.

The French narration is somewhat tedious.
The story is full of love and Magic, full of happy expectations and hopes. just the way I like it...
The characters, however, are extremely two-dimensional. They are either good or bad no in between and no gray area. You know exactly who you should love and who you should hate. Hence, the story becomes flat and comforting.

Not a Deep Book, But Very Pleasant

Not a deep book but cute. Nice for an afternoon when you don’t want to do a lot of thinking, but you do want to end with a smile.

Keeper of happy endings

I couldn’t put this story down. I was totally hooked from start to finish. Thee happy ending was indeed a keeper. 🙏💕

nice twist

It was a good story and overall it was a nice love story. That being said it's an audible and they switched out the tones of two of the characters twice and it was so disturbing. It almost felt like the narrator was sick and there was a stand in. I'm sure it was for dramatic effect or distinction, but it was very confusing. overall though I did enjoy the book

Loved it!

At first I was troubled by the voice of the narrator, but within 20 min I loved the voice of Soline! Truly made you feel like you were in that era. Great story! We all hope for a happy ending!

Beautiful story. Beautifully told! Enjoyed the characters , intertwined lives ,hope ,heartbreak,and love. Great book to relax and slip into happy endings!
