great story but....

this is a great listen but just like the last book Virgin, there are 3, yes 3 books missing that come before Virgin. and Surrender. How can you put up 2 books knowing the first 3 are missing. The end gives us the glimpse of those books and I want them since the characters are all in the last 2 books. Really?

good but like previous book it does not feel mafia more cult. I enjoyed it

Another hot Bauchman

I love the Bauchman men, and Nick is no different from the rest of the loving, dominant men. Nick and Hannah get a second chance to see if their love can last and if Hannah can follow Nick’s rules.

Another Baughman dream come true

The way Nick says sweatheart to Hannah made me literally melt inside!!! I swear this narrator could be an honorary Baughman brother. His voice and expressions are a perfect fit for this gorgeous dangerous group of men and made the story come to life. Swooning hard!! Nothing is hotter than seeing/listening to a strong dominant man being vulnerable, and this checks all the boxes! Nick was everything, and once Hannah got out of her own way and stopped running she saw it too. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review.

Those Bachman men are so easy to fall in love with. Hannah comes to visit her friend Adrianna in the village. While here, she is put under the protection of Nicholas who takes his job very seriously. When she steps out of line, he is right there to correct her! But his form of discipline is not what she is expecting and is disturbed by her reaction to him. Running off fighting her feelings, they cross paths 3 years later. Do they still have the chemistry? Will Hannah be able to live under Nicholas’s rule? Shanna Handel’s amazing second installment had me from the first minute. Hannah is extremely independent, stubborn and has a goal. Nicholas is fiercely loyal and passionate, and will do anything to keep her safe. It’s easy to get lost in their story, the emotional tugging, the heated passion and the underlying suspense kept me invested in the outcome of their story. Add in the cameos from Adrianna and Dante, it gives us a feeling of familiarity and community.

Zachary Zaba just enhances this story with his amazing narration. He has such a perfect voice for his alpha males, and Nick had it all. He gave off that true feeling of love and passion, even when Nick was delivering his discipline! He easily changes between characters, though I would have liked Hannah to have a little stronger British accent. I really enjoyed his performance and am looking forward to book 3.
