I love Genesis, Journal is one lucky woman. They have the best love story. I love all of the female relationships the sisterhood I love how Genesis and Grady bonded intentionally.
The positive married couples and the great advice. Please if you love love buy this entire series...I couldn't put this book down until it was over.💥💥💥❤️‼️

Great book, terrible nickname

If you can get past the DaDa name, this is a great book. Made me but the whole series. Recommended.

Drama at it's best

This is the start of an awesome series. This author is one of my favorites. If you like surprises,emotional and hood drama This is definitely a book that delivers. Please don't make us want too long for book 2.

This story follows Journal Braxton and Genesis “Slick” Banks. Journal had a very sad upbringing being put in foster care along with her older brother and sister when she was just 6 years old. Her siblings were adopted before her to different homes. She was the last to be adopted so they all were separated. Nineteen years later Journal runs into to Slick after witnessing a murder. Because she was seen, she was brought into Slick for him to decide if would let her live or not. Slick runs a gun store, however her also sells illegal guns. Journal cleans houses for a living. After that incident Journal and Slick continues to run into each other and eventually getting to know each other. Around the time she met Slick, she was just dumped by her longtime boyfriend whom she met in foster care. Slick also, had a situationship with a chick named Winnie. There was so much popping off in this book. This is my first book by this author and I have to say I enjoyed it.
