another very clever murder escapade from this author

well, Miss Busby is still that Heathcliff, but not everybody can be:) - but I thought this was the strongest plot of the series

The most enjoyable Miss Busby yet!

I really liked this one! it kept me going back and forth between suspects until the end. Miss Busby is growing on me more with every new book! I very much appreciate that the narrator has been the same through the series so far. Consistency means the world to me with narration, and even though I gravitate strongly toward male voices, I have very much enjoyed Ms James's work on all four Busby books.

Fantastic narration of a very clever mystery! I highly recommend this book. Mrs. Busby is just as wonderful as always.

It’s really good!

I was hesitant to get this after reading some reviews stating it was too long and boring.

However, I’ve always enjoyed this series and So decided to purchase it. I am glad I did it because this was a really good and interesting book. Miss Busby and Mrs Fernshaw were very likeable. The other characters in this book were interesting and each given a good amount of time for the readers/listeners to get to know them. The plot was well written, and full of suspects. I jumped from suspecting one to the other and back again, very fun.

Best of series so far

This is the best of the series so far! Feels like the writers have finally found their feet with these characters. Looking forward to what’s coming next!

Boring

Too long, too boring, Disinteresting charactters. No engaging storyline. No original plot. waste of money.

Disappointment

I have been and will continue to be a devoted reader of this series and the Heathcliff Lenox series from which this sprang. This book is way too long and involves very little mystery. The classic reveal at the end seems truly tacked on. On the plus side the relationship between two very interesting and mature people is at last moving forward. I do love the dog. Looking forward to a shorter more focused mystery next time.
