This audiobook provides an excellent non-mystical basis for meditation, more akin to helping your outlook on life and helping in specific areas (sleep, eating, etc). A number of interesting anecdotes along the way too.

I am certain that, in time, I may want to raise my rating to a 5. I know I will listen to this again. It is certainly ambitious and profound. I am not sure I got all that is here on one listen.

This is a fairly short audiobook and I can’t say there is anything earth shattering to learn from it but I will say that it has a lot of helpful reminders in it. It is probably even more helpful for those who are new to mindfulness or who are just looking into it. It’s short enough to keep your attention and has enough appealing info to make you research more on the topic. Plus it’s not very expensive so I don’t regret the purchase.

Meditation practices are techniques that encourage and develop concentration, clarity, emotional positivity, and a calm seeing of the true nature of things. I have personally been practicing meditation for over three years now, and I feel that it has improved the quality of my life. A very informative guide on how to start meditating. I had not heard about the candle meditation technique, so I am definitely going to try that.

I will read this book many times over in the years to come and hope it helps others achieve happiness with the tools it teaches you. practicing these methods will teach you patience, empathy, self confidence, and awareness of yourself, others, and the world we live in. All while teaching you how to not let it effect you in a way you dont want it to. I will be sharing it with many people who want these tools in their life.
