Solid counsel

I enjoyed the content, and felt that this book is certainly designated for Christian marriages with me and woman that love one another deeply but could use help starting conversations, gaining insight on one another’s perspectives about sex in general, in order to learn how each other is wired and where our perspectives often come from and often are skewed in a negative way by many outside voices. Once that baseline is set, the book continues to help navigate waters and conversations often neglected by the church specifically to help Christian marriages thrive in every aspect including sexually. I also enjoy the perspectives of scripture presented and how God views sex based on either direct scripture or the context of that scripture. That was very helpful.

Sex: Basic Barometer of Marriage

Thomas and Fileta show convincingly how a good relationship is essential fuel for a great sex life. Expecting to have wonderful sex while neglecting emotional connection and sensitivity to your partner is like expecting to drive 1000 miles on a quarter tank of gas. Not going to happen!

This helped me positively reevaluate my sex life!

I was able to revisit the negative stigmas I had indirectly learned about sex by listening to their examples and talks. From my semi-sheltered, preacher's kid upbringing to my past sexual experiences to my lack of communication about sexual desires.
