Resumen del Editor

Ashling is every busy parent’s dream: a professional nanny with experience and a warm, sunny attitude. But from the moment Mary hires her to look after her young children, things start to feel just a little...off. Are Mary’s stressful work schedule and lack of sleep playing games with her own sanity, or has she welcomed an unstable troublemaker into her home?

A harrowing and hilarious psychological thriller whose sense of disquiet builds with each passing scene, Erica Schmidt’s Lucy is sure to disturb and delight parents and non-parents alike. After all, if you can’t even be sure what’s happening in your home when you’re away, what can you be sure of?

Kept My Attention

This short piece kept my rapt attention all the way through. I felt for the poor overworked Mom who couldn’t see from the get go what was so obviously clear to the rest of us: this woman for hire was a total nut job! I was disappointed in the end, however, which I thought was a little unclear.

Overall a good listen, though, worth the price ($0.00) and the time investment (under 2 hours). Give it a try! ☺️

What did I just listen to?

The voiceovers were ok but that’s the only positive thing I have to say about this story. It seems like the author got tired of writing and then abruptly stopped. It wasn’t even a cliffhanger. It just ended. The story line seemed half thought out and poorly executed. I wouldn’t recommend this book to anyone else and I’m mad that I spent $5 on it.

unpleasant characters & confusing ending

Both leads were made to seem neutlrotic, but not really developed & the ending was left lacking. Why did the child think the woman was a witch with no eyes? The actors were great, but I think the writing needs more

Felt like a waste of time

Listening to this felt like a waste of time. I kept waiting for the characters to develop more, or for the story to develop. Neither happened. Confusing ending.

What exactly WAS this???

This was just a bunch of yelling and screaming and crying and nonsense. Don't waste your time.

Huh?

The performance was amazing, the story had me interested, but it just…ended. Totally confused on character motivation for Ashleigh. I hope there’s a sequel to this story.

I'm confused

So this was a well written short story BUT...the ending left me a little confused.I felt lithe there was a lot of focus on some unnecessary,or seemingly unnecessary information, that never came back up later.Like her age.I don't know.I think I know what happened at the end, but I'm not 100%sure.

I enjoyed it enough

It was a very weird little story, but enjoyable enough and kept my attention. The characters could be a bit annoying, but no so terrible that I couldn’t finish it.

I really enjoyed this book although it was quite short it was quite fun to listen to. it was quite predictable but I think it's still worth the read.
