Great Heroine!

Loved how smart and practical that Jenny was in the story. Her love for Simon and her ability to reach him in his despair was heartfelt.

Enjoyable.

The story is easy and enjoyable. A few times the characters make dumb decisions, but overall I liked this one.

Good story but slowwww

I thought the narrator was excellent. Great character development and interesting plot.
It got really disturbing at some points as they dealt with the effects of his “dispair” within the marriage, and some of her actions were hard to swallow for a smart woman.

My main issue is it was just a really long, really slow story.

Great Listen

Enjoyed this story very much. No over-the-top sex but intimate and low key. Tim Campbell’s voice bring the characters to life. I so adore listening to him. I will continue this series.

Very easy and quick read .

Unusual characters and plot. I was very satisfied with the reality of all their interactionsl. Some interesting twists at the conclusion.

I read this book before. Tim Campbell my favorite narrator. The story was exceptional. I will probably read it again😁

Great Narrator

Tim Campbell was a great narrator for this book. His characters were very distinct. He speech pattern made the story easy to listen, no dragging monologues.

Will be looking for other books he has narrated!

Good, well written, sex but not graphic

What is most memorable, the writing is excellent. The story is engaging. The characters well developed, relatable and likable. And the romance was believable and very sweet.

Why not 5 stars. There is a HEA but I felt a bit let down about the discovery of the mystery behind the missing funds. It was to simple, unsatisfying and didn’t really answer all the questions about the secrecy behind the sold Hall. Once revealed all red herrings were just forgotten or swept away. That was a bit frustrating. There were 2 background stories that also weren't resolved. One, of course, is the preview to the next book, so that was ok but the other also just drifted away to nothingness. Confusing.

The narration was excellent.
