Nador, son of the demon king, has ended up somewhere he never thought he’d be: the human world. Bound in a contract to serve a human, all he wants is to go home. A human soul seems a small consolation for a human lifetime spent obeying Paul, the seemingly weak and timid human who holds his contract.
Paul doesn’t want to be in a contract, either. All he wants is to live a quiet life with his wife, Melody, but born into a notorious criminal syndicate, he is unlikely to get his wish. The contract he has with Nador is his only hope to protect his wife and unborn child from his own family’s cold machinations.
At best, the two are reluctant allies. When Nador develops feelings for Melody, their tenuous truce seems likely to change. But what will it become? Only time will tell.
