Fake dating at its finest

This is my favorite fake dating story! The dynamic of what Lex and Mercy have and how they get there is a beautiful mess of what life can throw at you. The sparks of this story could start a fire! I loved the way they tried to fight their feelings but failed so spectacularly. Once those gates were opened it was difficult to keep their distance. Mr. Darcy the cat was so perfect!

Lex & Mercy

Rose Dioro and Jason Clarke’s incredible voices brought this next generation Montgomery/Wilder tale to life. Lex and Mercy’s estranged friends to lovers, fake dating journey was emotionally charged and weighed down by a complicated history. I loved their undeniable chemistry and raw vulnerability. Lex is the kind of man you want in your life. Loyal and protective of those he cares about. This was a 5 star listen.

I really enjoyed Mercy and Lexington’s story!

I really enjoyed Mercy and Lexington’s story! Mercy and Lexington have a history, while not a romantic one, but a platonic one. Mercy is back in town, trying to put the pieces of her life back together. The loss of her sister hit her hard and she’s coping with a new normal. She overhears a conversation Lex has and inserts herself into his life. While her saying something was unexpected, the ease and the chemistry between them was palpable through the pages. They soon started spending time together “for show” but it was much more than that. They have highs and lows together but they work well. The narrators did a great job of bringing them to life and I was lost in the story! Don’t let this book pass you by!

Lex and Mercy

An other fantastic addition to an already amazing series. Lex and Mercy are simply beautiful together. They did have some bumps in their journey but their destination is absolute perfection. I adored going on this emotional and heartwarming adventure with them.

Last Chance Seduction is the ninth book in the Montgomery Legacy series. It’s a neighbors to lovers, fake relationship romance.

Lex and Mercy’s story was entertaining and well written. The chemistry was intense and I enjoyed the growing connection as the story progressed. The drama, family interactions and steamy scenes were fun and I highly enjoyed their ending. I look forward to the next member in the Montgomery family.

Jason Clarke and Rose Dioro did a phenomenal job narrating this book.

Lex and Mercy

This is Lex and Mercy’s book. They’ve been childhood friends and continue their friendship throughout their lives.

However Lexington Montgomery has never been lucky in love every time he thinks he’s found his happily ever after he ends up being the one right before their HEA.

Mercy is dealing with her own issues and grief and loss trying to just keep it together. Fate sometimes has a way of giving people just what they need.

Overall, highly enjoyable and page turning. Including a HEA.

Amazing friends to lovers romance

I received this as an arc/alc from the author and I’m voluntarily leaving my honest review.

This was an amazing friends to lovers/ fake relationship romance. It was definitely a new favorite of mine from this author. The story was so well written and it was hard to put it down. This was Lexington’s story and I have been waiting to read his story for a while now and it was even better than I expected. Mercy was just the perfect match for him and though they had a few bumps along the way, they got a satisfying HEA.

Audiobook review: This was a joy to listen to. I absolutely adored the narration, it made the story come to life in such a satisfying way. Both the male and female narrators did an incredible job and were very well matched in the narration which I just really appreciate.

𝐋𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 is the 9th book in the Montgomery Ink Legacy series by Carrie Ann Ryan, featuring a fake relationship romance for former friends Lexington and Mercy. I have been waiting for Lex to finally get his chance at a HEA, and this book did not disappoint! I was hooked by the emotional prologue and further captivated by every heat-filled glance, Montgomery family antic and banter exchange, and shocking twist and turn that came along!! I absolutely adored the fact that Mercy was a voice actor! This might actually be my first main character with that job, and I’ve read a ton of books! I enjoyed the flow of the plot and the way the fake relationship came about. Their chemistry was phenomenal, although it took awhile for them to find time together without interruptions🤪, the payoff was so fiery!! I sat up and took notice of Lex and his dirty talker side!😍🔥 The holiday vibe gave the Montgomery family an extra opportunity to show Mercy how they take care of their own. Once you’re in, you’re in, and I love that about this family. What’s not to love when a story represents healing and finding love and family with a side of suspense? Be ready for some emotion, too! I cannot wait for the next book!!

I went back for the audio today, and Jason Clarke and Rose Dioro blew me away with their performance! From the emotion to the banter to the passion, it was all excellent! But seriously, Jason Clarke in dirty talker mode was straight fire!!🥵🫠 Don’t miss this story!

Utterly addicted to the series

How can we already be in book #9 of the Montgomery Ink Legacy. Every one of these stories have been so amazing. And they just keep getting better and better. I am completely and utterly addicted to this entire series.

Will Lex ever find the ONE?

Last Chance Seduction is book 9 of the Montgomery Ink Legacy series and follows Lexington as he gets his second chance at love.

Lexington (Lex) is the oldest son of Beckett and Eliza Montgomery. He and his cousins run the local branch of Montgomery Construction. Years ago, he was interested in a girl until his best friend called dibs. Since then, he has tried to find love, but has found himself being the guy the girl dates before she finds the ONE. Now, he is focused on work and remodeling his new house.

Mercy is a jilted bride. To top off being left at the alter, her sister collapses and they are rushed to the hospital. Little did she know her sister was keeping secrets from her that will alter Mercy's life. With no roots left in Colorado, Mercy leaves the state to start over.

After escaping from everything she lost for a couple of years, Mercy is now back in Colorado. She is a voice actor (also known as a narrator) who works from home. Sadly, her new neighbor is remodeling his home and it is hindering her ability to work during the days.

When her cat starts going crazy towards something outside the screen, Mercy goes to investigate. What she finds will is not even close to what she was expecting and sends her in to a tailspin. Lucky for her, the construction crew hears her yelling and comes to see what is wrong.

Who comes running to her rescue? None other than Lex. Talk about a blast from her past. And not a good one.

Mercy has avoided Lex for years. But now she has no choice. He is her neighbor after all.

These two start talking and the Montgomery's envelop Mercy in their family throughout the holiday's. But when a situation arises between Lex and his ex, Mercy is there to swoop in and "save the day". But will it come back to bite her in the booty?

When a threat, from her ex fiance, emanates, the Montgomery's are there to protect and support Mercy. But will it be too late when it knocks on her door?

I love that Lex and Mercy get a chance at love given that, years ago, he wanted to date her. But his best friend, Justin, called dibs. Bro code says you do not date the girl someone calls dibs on, nor do you date them once they break up. But fate has a way of people two people who belong together in each other's orbit.

What started as a fake relationship to help Lex show his ex and her father he was committed and settled, turns out to be reality. But there is always a hiccup in the best laid plans, and Lex and Mercy will have to navigate some treacherous ground.

I loved seeing Beckett and Eliza Montgomery, plus all of the others, visiting in this book. Seeing her embrace Mercy was a joy to watch. And the sage advice they give to Lex is tough love, but love all the same.

It has been awhile since I have listened to Rose Dioro and it was a joy to listen to her in this book. She has such a fresh voice full of emotions for the characters. And Jason Clarke is a dream to listen to. These two play well together and listening to them as a pair was delightful.
