Frangione masterfully provides a deep masculine voice for the vampire fighters and is equally adept at the female characters. Threatening the vampires is the demon Devina and her lover, Lash, and Frangione makes them sound appropriately menacing."

As always. I love Jim's narration. The book was great in some parts and okay in others. The reason for the time jump left me confused. Why? Ok for Rayven but not for Wrath??? Reread twice. Still confused. Why over 30 year jump? I realize. Nilla's story is next and JR wants to continue with the kids, but it was weird. I will continue to read everything JR writes. but not her best.

Not what I expected but not bad

I was expecting a little more about Lassiter but I think that is in the Fallen Angel series. I am confused on the conclusion of the story. We lost 30 years of information. It left me wondering what the H…. I just don’t get it.

Wow, Just Wow

J. R. Ward and the indispensable Jim Frangione are back to give you the reading and listening experience you've been waiting for. Finally, we have Lassiter's story. You will be angry, frustrated, intrigued, saddened, relieved, and thrilled. It ends with a huge emotional bang that makes this emotional roller coaster ride so worth it. Thank you, Ms. Ward and Mr. Frangione for giving life to our beloved BDB characters and providing such joy for your followers. I needed this book.

Interesting ending

I was shocked with the ending. I followed the story from the beginning. Would be interesting to see how it continues

OMG

I'm just grateful for the epilog. When that twist came with Fritz I felt hurt, sad and disappointed. I'm thinking why would JR Ward do this to my emotions especially since I've held out hope since book one of a miraculous return of Darius. 20 books later and you sent one of my favorites unto the fade, I had to stop listening for a while. You had me till the end. As usual excellent writing, Jim Frangione great performance as usual.

Not what I expected, but way better

Don't listen distracted you'll miss too much. Narration is excellent as always. Be prepared for a shock, but keep listening. This book proves BDB will be around for a while, so much more to explore.

Loved Lassiter's story!

I enjoyed Lassiter's story immensely. For so long I thought him a jester but he's proven his worth.
