Jud Low had been through his share of hard times and troubles. He’d seen his friend killed, the ranch and cattle stolen. But Jud and his partner, Ted Lewis, had taken revenge for their friend and gotten his life’s work back. Now, all Jud wanted to do was have a dance with a pretty new waitress that had come to town. Getting together a dance at the last minute wasn’t easy, but Jud managed it. The dance with the new waitress, Nancy, lasted longer than he’d bargained for, with her returning to the ranch with him. After a month, she was kidnapped by a man whose brother Jud had killed. Gary Cribs was set on avenging his brother Larry’s death. Against his better judgement, Jud gives in and agrees to pay the price of the ransom Cribs had demanded. He had no idea that it would lead him on the chase of a lifetime to regain the money that would be swindled from him when he realized Gary Cribs and his kidnap victim were in cahoots.

Entertaining

This is my first time listening to Jud Low’s story and I absolutely loved it. Entertaining and kept me hooked trying to know what happens next- how Jud solves the mystery of the kidnap and recover his money while punishing Gary with the help of the indian. Good length and can be listened in a stretch. Excited to listen to more of Jud’s story.

Enjoyable Western

It was a good story from start to finish, good character development that flows nicely into the story. The narrating was good. Recommended to those who enjoy this genre.

Very Engaging and Interesting

This is a great audiobook. I enjoyed the narrator and the overall storyline. What makes this book a great read is the overall storyline and characters that the author explains. It's also the topics and scenes that really brings the audiobook and the story to life.

Feel good story. Recommend.

Great flow. Enjoyable to listen to. Good story, I like the author nd this ws no disappointment. Recommend for light reading or listening.

Great Story.. The entire series is amazing and I really like it. Love Westerns and this is one of the best! Highly recommend!

Jud Low- The First Dance

This is an excellent short western. Jud low is a tough cowboy. His woman gets kidnapped and he goes after her. This is a short western but full of action and adventure. Brooks Corley does an excellent job narrating this book. I received a copy of this book from audiobooks unleashed but that has no influence on my review. Loved this. Very well written and narrated. An overall excellent and entertaining audiobook. Would recommend!

Exciting and authentic Western

This is the second John Thurmond book I listened to and it was even better than the first. I found the characters believable and the research that went into it seems so authentic it was impressive. I look forward to listening to other books in the series.

What a great Western!

This is the second book by John Thurmond that I've listened to and it was just as great as the first! The characters were interesting and the story was well-developed enough to keep you engaged and wanting more.
The narration was also sensational. Highly recommend for those who enjoy this genre!

A great western!

This book makes you feel like your in the west and right there with the Sun beating on your face and dust blowing around. Great job!
