When the System came to Earth, technology failed, monsters appeared, and billions died as humans were inducted into the game-like physics the System enforced.

Unfortunately for the System, not all humans were on Earth. Some scattered postbiological individuals decided to push it back, and embarked on a decade-long crusade to eliminate the System from Earth.

Cato is just an ordinary postbiological citizen, disgusted enough by the System’s excesses to go through one of the portals on Earth and spread himself to the broader System just as Earth is completely freed. He has no magic, for the System can’t be destroyed from within, but he does have the technology and knowledge of a civilization that is reaching toward the second rank of the Kardashev scale. Cato may have to operate under the System’s limitations, but he certainly doesn’t have to play by its rules, and fully intends to remove the threat it offers.

just finished the series. it's good

if you liked the first book then the next two books are just more of the same. but it really is absolutely worth it. the ending was solid and the epilogue was fabulous. everything was so enjoyable. I wish the MC wasn't quite so one note. but honestly other characters become more important as you go and they're much more in depth and interesting. and the World building is both completely irrelevant and fascinating

Fun book with a good ending.

Had me questioning my sanity with the way the reader pronounced 'Gestalt', and 'Chitin'. Seriously? Certainly going to be listening with TTS next time. How does something like that even happen?

Another Instant Classic

That was some great stuff. Really got me thinking! Can’t wait to see what other follow up’s and works the author has.

Absolutely fascinating.

Smash the Bobiverse and a system apocalypse together and you'll get an idea of what this book's about.

The ideas and concepts it introduces are interesting and compelling.

Guy isn't perfect. He makes plenty of mistakes, but in the end it is only constraints is time and morality.

Novel story for litrpg fans

Story starts you off a bit rough without much of an intro to his universe but you quickly get oriented. Very much bobiverse Vs litrpg System. Very good book overall.

This is the right way for a near kardishev-2 post-singularity civilization handles a 'System' showing up.
Complete with vengeful MC being willing to break it all with that most human emotion: Spite.
I love it!

Solid Start

Excellent and shaping up to be even better than the authors previous series. Good balance of action story and world building. OP MC Scifi/tech based AI dungeon core type character on a liberation and revenge mission to free worlds from a magic/essence based System

Another hit by the author

Interesting take on the classic system apocalypse with some sci-fi vs fantasy elements. Really well done by the author when it is so difficult to have something unique in a genre that too often panders to the lowest common denominator.

So much potential for epicness going forward, scifi and magic contrast. Please provide more books:)

Need Post Processing

Story and Narration are good, but the recording quality is in DIRE need of post processing. Audio recording quality needs voice isolation. Tried getting a refund, no luck.
