Resumen del Editor

A New York Times, Publishers Weekly, and IndieBound best seller!

Balancing epic and intensely personal stakes, best-selling author Adam Silvera’s Infinity Son is a gritty, fast-paced adventure about two brothers caught up in a magical war generations in the making.

Growing up in New York, brothers Emil and Brighton always idolized the Spell Walkers - a vigilante group sworn to rid the world of specters. While the Spell Walkers and other celestials are born with powers, specters take them, violently stealing the essence of endangered magical creatures.

Brighton wishes he had a power so he could join the fray. Emil just wants the fighting to stop. The cycle of violence has taken a toll, making it harder for anyone with a power to live peacefully and openly. In this climate of fear, a gang of specters has been growing bolder by the day.

Then, in a brawl after a protest, Emil manifests a power of his own - one that puts him right at the heart of the conflict and sets him up to be the heroic Spell Walker Brighton always wanted to be.

Brotherhood, love, and loyalty will be put to the test, and no one will escape the fight unscathed.

Don't miss Infinity Reaper, the gripping sequel!

Heros or villains?

I have to admit I'm not sure who was a hero and who was a villain, the best i can describe the characters that were supposedly the "good guys" is anti heros

I suggest skipping this one

Characters spend more time complaining than thinking, which would’ve solved most of the story problems. Not especially satisfying overall.

Great YA fantasy!

No idea why this book have received so many negative reviews. While the story isn’t original or groundbreaking it’s still very good! I loved it and will definitely continue with the series!

Definitely fine

It has AMAZING concepts with shallow characters and lackluster direction. It's the kind of book that the pitch of the concept is really interesting and could have been so good but a lot of it falls flat. And a very unsatisfying ending to boot.

It had so much potential

Protagonist is incredibly weak. Lame representation of the LGBT community. Constant whining; instead of critical thinking.

Too much even for guilty pleasure

I like his work and this one was fun as well. However, the writing of the characters was really weak this time.

Needs better flow and clarification

Spoiler alert!!!

First and foremost I enjoyed this book, I love how the main character is a good representative of a gay main character. He feels proud of who he is and accepted by others like him but the author doesn't push the fact he's gay all through the book and focuses on character development rather than romance. Many books I've read/listened to with gay characters have no depth to them and that is their entire being is their sexuality, so good on the author for writing a well rounded LGBTQ+ character. That being said I found a few things a bit frustrating.
1. The brothers look similar enough to be confused for eachother? Raised as twins despite one being adopted.
2. When one brother reciebed his powers and tells his mother, she becomes confused as to why his power has certain attributes despite those attributes not being in their family bloodline of powers. Yet it's later revealed that he is adopted. If the mother knew he was adopted why is she confused about the bloodline?
3. Who are the good guys bad guys? Throughout the book every faction is mentioned as either heroes or terrorists depending on how society views that particular faction. The group the main characters join us thought to be terrorists yet also heroes? It is very confusing.
4.The overall flow of the book felt rushed and unpolished. The book could have been much longer and more developed if there was more of a transition from powerless to joining a group known by society as heroes/terrorists.

When power calls, will you answer?

Not going to lie the reviews don’t do this book justice. With the plethora of characters all aiming for some sort of power; it helped developed the story tens times better. Can’t wait for the next installment!

Amazing!!

I was hesitant on buying this book in the store. I got a trail for audible and I grabbed this book. by far way better than expected. As for multiple narrators, it made the story way more enjoyable as you could connect with each individual character and there personalities.

I actually like this

This book is good but I wish they had a clearer main character because Emil would be a good one but he isn’t the most powerful clearly which kinda sucks because everyone else is a douche. I mean take his brother for example he is so selfish and self centered that it’s kinda unrealistic and also power hungry, couldn’t he be glad for his brother but no he was like Im the one who should’ve gotten powers.Im mean he’s happy when Mary’s Phoenix powers were easier to control because and I quote “also has much better control than Emil ,I wonder what he’s going to think about that” because he’s always knocking on his brother.
