WHAT A TEASE!

The story is such a tease! After everything Jasper pulls an Edward and is like “ohhhh I can’t be with you cause it’s dangerous.” AFTER EVERYTHING MAX DID! He proved he can handle himself, he even got the okay from the Alpha! Good story just literally cock blocked the ending.

made me angry tbh

the same thing happens over and over with no resolution. completely one sided relationship that goes nowhere. the dudes an a-hole the whole book, becomes a little nicer and then suddenly pulls the Vampire Martyr Cliche in the end. Awful. at least the narrator was good.

Needed an editor.

The story reads like a fan fic that didn’t have a beta reader. And the different voices had me lowering and raising the volume to hear.

Awesome!!

I really loved this book! I cannot wait for more!! The writing style very well done! The narrator Michael Mola had amazing voices for each and every character! The way he captured the fear in max’a voice when he saw the spider on the canoe was perfect. There where so many funny, sad, and awkward moments in the book that it had me hooked! This was an awesome and interesting read!

first book ove ever finished that wasn't required by school. tried to read while I was bored, ended up not being able to stop and finished it in a matter of hours. now I need a sequel.

this is the book I been waiting for. the story is awesome. there drama, romance, loyalty. can't wait for book 2

A fun YA ride

Michael Mola acted the shit out of this book. He really did the damn thing. Bravo!

I didn’t know this was YA when I got it. It’s very Gen Z zeitgeistic, but personally I enjoyed that. It was like getting into the head of a modern day teen which was a nice change from what I usually read. As for the ending, Penny is working on the sequel now so we’re left with QUITE the cliffhanger. Reader, this does not make the ending bad. It’s a fun little YA ride, and I’m excited to see what comes next!

I really loved the story, I think the least favorite thing was the ending. I hope this is a series.

Simply amazing

The story line and character development was just on point. The emotional connection I felt with the main character spoke to me. I could relate and feel what was going on. I hope there’s a part two coming out soon because I would love to read it.
