Bailey and Bell

They grew up as close as brothers but everything changed the night of their graduation when they kissed. Ryan took off the next day without a word. Now years later both are a success. Grady is hired to sing the national anthem at the world series game Ryan is playing in and they reconnect. Fear. Frustration. Longing. They’ve missed each other and their friendship, but that’s not all between them.

Second-chance love stories are a hard sell for me. I can’t ever get over all of the lost time. Having said that, this story is entertaining. Very low angst. It’s also a bit misleading from the blurb. There’s very little mention of the fathers during the story considering how they are both featured. Since it’s too late to expand the role of the preacher dad and his congregation, I would rewrite the blurb to better fit the story. Ryan and Grady were great together. The friends-to-lovers angle worked nicely. I do admit, I loved the agents' pop-in appearances during the story. The humor they added was appreciated.

Christian Black and Dash Coleman were wonderful as Ryan and Grady. I especially loved the gruffness of Christian’s portrayal of Grady. Dash offset him beautifully making these two characters very believable.

I love the beginning of this book. It was curious and genuine like a lot of queer stories.

MM Romance

Immoral by Nicole Dykes is a MM romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Christian Black and Dash Coleman.

This is the third book of Nicole's that I have read, and it won't be my last. She does an amazing job pulling me into the story and making me feel what the characters are feeling. I loved the relationship that bloomed between Grady and Ryan. I really enjoyed getting both of their points of view throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

Christian and Dash did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this book if you like MM romances, sports romances, rockstar romances, or contemporary romances.


The Flock Team

LOVED IT!!!!!

Yet another book from Nicole Dykes that I could not put down. This book is about 2 boys who grow up together as best friends.... Ryan realizes he is gay during his teen years.... Grady is straight. Ryan can't handle the unrequited love and fears the backlash of his best friend so he takes off. And then they meet again 7 years later..... and boy what a meeting it is! I freaking LOVE these 2 men! Grady is literally Ryan's opposite in every way. This book was hot! And that element of friendship remained there through it all (once they got past that 7 year separation) The way that Grady just kind of rolled with it all while Ryan would freak out was quite comical. I am so in love with these men that I was not ready to be done reading about them.

When I heard Nicole was writing an MM book I was all for it..... I AM HERE FOR IT!!! I just KNEW she was going to kill it! There wasn't too much angst, but both men were BEYOND swoon worthy and the story was a great one! I always look forward to Nicole's books, and she absolutely did NOT let me down! Anyone who is a fan of MM books NEED Ryan and Grady in their life!!!

Loved this

This was my first book by Nicole and I could not put it down. I went straight into reading her other books and I have loved everyone of them. Ryan has been in love with his straight best friend Grady for years. After they share a kiss after their graduation they loose contact for seven years. After they meet up again Grady is determined to get his best friend back, but starts developing feelings for Ryan who is scared of getting hurt. He is afraid of just being an experiment, but he still goes for it and that's the start of their beautiful story. This book is full of sass, unbelievable chemistry and those hot moments we look forward to. I absolutely loved this book and patiently waiting for Nicole to write more mm stories. The narration was so good.
