Great!

Kellan and Phillip

I liked this story. Poor Kellan trying to stay sober with the intention of getting his siblings away from their addicted mother finds it comes sooner when she O'D. The two oldest are angry at him, he has to deal with a lot of overwhelming issues and he finds himself attracted to the social worker Phillip. I liked listening to this each narrator took over the chapter of the characters. The only issue I had was I wasn't a fan of Phillips' narration of Kellan made him sound like an older guy.

AMAZING story

This was such a great story! I loved it so much I immediately bought Tatum's story, something I rarely do. While this deals with some heavier topics, it remains relatively low angst. I absolutely loved this family, and I was rooting for their healing and happiness the whole time. Kellan was a phenomenal big brother, determined to do right by his siblings after (what he perceived as) failing them in the past. Phillip is the social worker assigned to their case, and was a wonderful, caring guy. I did have to suspend reality, because as a social worker myself, I cringed hard at his actions. But in the wonderful world of fiction, it was only slightly problematic and resolved easily. I absolutely loved their story. This book (and Only You, Tatum's story) are ones I bought in physical copy and will be rereading often.

The narration was also done really well. I was unfamiliar with one narrator, and had only listened to the other a couple of times. I'll definitely check out both again, as they did great jobs. My only tiny complaint is that the narrator for Phillip gave an almost growly voice for Kellan, which is not how he sounded at all from the other narrator.

Loved this!

Nicole is one of my go to authors. Her books never disappoint and this one was no different for me. Be prepared not to want to stop listening to this once you get started. They way Nicole portrayed Kellan having to deal with so much since a young age and working through addiction. Highly recommend this book.

Great narration, the narrators did so good bringing the characters to life.

MM Romance

Only Temporary by Nicole Dykes is a MM romance that I listened to audio narrated by Colt Carter and Lance Isley.

I love Nicole's books! I just get pulled in and can't help but binge them in one sitting. I really enjoyed the relationship that bloomed between Kellan and Phillip. I loved getting both of their points of views throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

Colt and Lance did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this book if you're looking for a MM romance, forbidden romance or a contemporary romance.

Heartwarming!!!

The past weeks, really the past month, I have been disappointed by the books that I have listened to. That was until this book. Now I know that when it is a Nicole Dykes book it’s going to be good. Well, this book was amazing! Not one dull moment! Can’t wait for more!!!
