Theo MacLeod wasn't supposed to be the one.

Stop watching life happen and jump in!

This book was great. There were ups and downs and a TON of self doubt (sometimes too much for my taste) but love bought it all together in the end. There were so really funny parts but I loved the epilog the best! It was cute and funny and tearful.

Claire was a bit of a self doubters without ever having put herself out there in the world. She was afraid of planes (and always wanted to travel) she was afraid to put her artwork out in the world for people to buy (but was an amazing artist). She was afraid of a lot but mostly the unknown. Her friends and family knew how loving and caring she was but she couldn't seem to make things work with a man for too long...which is why she was dateless for yet another wedding. Dreading the "weirdo" singles tables she went online to hire a date... Theo.

Theo was the polar opposite of Claire. he was daring, adventurous , a people person, he traveled the world , and was charming and could see right through her. On their first meeting he sized her up and told her exactly the kind of person she was. She was the kind of person that was looking at life instead of living life. feel on the other hand had Hang-Ups of his own. He was adventurous and a nomad for reason. Could Claire bring him to stop running?

Started iffy, but ended up really liking it!

First, I listened to the audio and the narrators did a great job and I’d recommend it.

Sweet story with a hero who isn’t perfect and makes mistakes sometimes. Both main characters have some issues with overcoming what scares them. She’s used to be the plain Jane type, and is scared to take that jump to show what she really wants; she’s too nice. He has abandonment issues, so he runs whenever emotions become involved. This may be a bit spoiler-ish, but not too bad. I read a review that said he leaves 3 times, but really they weren’t fully in a relationship for the first 2 times and it was only a couple days into the whole no strings thing. For someone that has issues with strings, they both fell hard and fast. I loved that there wasn’t any ow/om drama, and just dealt with Claire and Theo needing to growth within themselves. I enjoyed the story and at first I didn’t care for how they meet, but the story went a nice way after the first initial premise. Both characters grew and learned. This is the first Melanie Harlow book I’ve read and I’m looking forward to reading more from her.

Great story line !

I loved absolutely everything about the story ! The only thing that killed it for me was Theos narrator . His voice didn’t match what I thought he would sound like . But don’t let that stop you from reading/listening to this book ! It’s hot and fun ! Absolutely loved it .

If you were mine

A good reason to rent a date. Narration was great. Storyline was good. I got this with the romance package. Plan on adding to my permanent collection.

Great story

My very first romance book. I was not disappointed. I bought all of them can’t wait to read them all.

Palm to my chest the entire book... oh gasp!

You know the book that you read or listen to and you’re thinking or shouting out the entire time like “no don’t do it” “yes you can” this is that book. I’m like “awww don’t cry” “don’t go” and so active with this book I couldn’t stay away. Uhhh my heart uhhh the teeth marks on my fist uhhh the love. I just can’t stand it I can’t handle it awwwwwwww what a beautiful “fairy tale.”

Claire & Theo

So far this is my favorite of the Series. Claire is tired of dating the wrong men and convinced she will never fall in love, steps out of her comfort zone and hires Theo as her date for hire to a wedding to avoid the singles table.Theo is charming, intuitive and broken, hiding behind his fears and only showing what he wants to. He has a checkered past, a crappy childhood and abandonment issues, but after one night with Claire things change. Their connection is hot and Steamy as he figures his past out and Claire is showing him that he can trust and stay, but the doubts continue to surface, will he figure it out before he loses her. Loved the Fairytale ending. Great job to the narrators.

beauty within...

I have to say that I really loved this book. I love the fact that even though it started as a job it turn into something that was truly believable. Sometimes its hard for one to see that we are amazing when we dont feel that way. True we are make mistakes and have our own insecurities but it is so much better when someone else believes in you! it was an amazing Love story.

Staying power!

Cotton candy couples therapy: A surprisingly endearing and enduring story! It taught me the importance of taking things slow and building a foundation of friendship. Realistically, the "days" should have been weeks and the weeks should have been months. The characters should have picked up the phone and talked to each other more than to everyone else.
