Great narration and romance

This was so fun! I loved the main characters and the hilarious extended cast. The narrator did a great job, especially with differentiating between the two MMCs voices. I was also rooting for the romance.

I adore this story

This story was such a fun romantic read. You can really see the characters growth and feel the love through the story chapter after chapter. This book was just such a feel good story and really felt like I was just a spectator getting to know this family and everything that was happening! From beginning to end I was thoroughly entertained!

Fantastic!

Julian Winters has written a spectacular queer Black romcom that readers will fall in love with! Denz and Braylon's second chance at love will make you laugh, cry, swoon, and cheer all the way to the end.

Representation is so important. These amazing characters and this story will resonate with so many people who may not always see themselves in books. Everyone deserves to be the main character though, and Braylon and Denz are a beautiful example of that.

André Santana's narration is incredible. His depth of emotion and spectacular acting truly bring the story to life. This was my first audiobook with André but it won't be my last!

If you enjoy a diverse romance full of queer Black joy, family, friendship, taking chances, supporting loved ones, finding yourself - along with stunning narration, get this audiobook!

A Modern Day Love Story

This was an amazing read. It’s very realistic as in not telling the person you want to be with, your true feelings in fear of rejection or non-reciprocation. I loved every minute of it!!!

Wow

This was my first project from this author and I am in awe. This is a fantastic adult romance debut and I need more. Preferably Jordan’s and Jaime’s story. This is the best thing I’ve listened to this year. This second chance romance was funny, fluffy with the right amount of spice

Absolutely adorable

This was my first book by Julian Winters and I am so happy I gave it a listen. It’s an adorable second chance romance that pulled at my heartstrings more than once. I love the characters, the writing, the pace of the story and all the feelings I had while listening. I’ll absolutely be looking into more books by Winters! The narrator was also perfect! 5/5 easily.

This story is a romcom that is as much about the characters falling in love as it is about not that Denzel having his coming of age moments at his quarter life crisis milestone. He is so relatable as a young person who has spent his life trying to be what he believes is expected of him with figuring out what he wants and who he really is. It takes his first love popping back into his life. The one person who he was the truest version of him self with for him to question everything while fighting to maintain the status quo where he tends to hang out.

Braylon has experienced so much loss from a young age yet he has the best heart and he brings out the best in Denz by being his safe space.

This book asks the question is going back to an old love actually the path forward to the life of your dreams? It was a delight seeing these two figure it out.

Also the family and supporting characters added so much life to this book.
