I Hear You follows the journey of Tyler, a devil-may-care, party boy mechanic who loves his job, his friends, and his faithful dog, but the thought of settling down is the last thing on his mind.

That all changes when he meets Gabe, an adorably dimpled, floppy haired deaf man who challenges him in ways he never imagined.

As Tyler starts to fall for Gabe, he realizes his carefree lifestyle may be holding him back from true happiness.

Will he be able to overcome his past and embrace love, or will his desire for freedom and the lure of the party scene prove too powerful?

This heartwarming and steamy story of love, self-discovery, and second chances includes scenes of hurt/comfort, found family, and the cutest doggone puppy love. It is a must-listen for M/M romance fans.

Spoilers: Over all the book is missing a lot. The story is rushed and missing context. They crammed like 6 months in the last few chapters. It also doesn’t seem like the author did a lot of research on the deaf community because a hearing person can’t give sign names. You can only get a sign name from another deaf person. That’s something you learn from taking basic sign language classes. We never got to know the boy Tyler met that taught him ASL. It also makes no sense that Gabe’s parents made him learn English but didn’t bother to learn themselves or make their second son learn. I also would have like to have a hearing impaired narrator for Gabe’s part so we can understand the character better.

There are no words for this representation of the deaf community in this enduring understanding of disabled citizens! The struggles to which this community become accustomed to is truly terrifying and heartbreaking. But the awareness brought by Casey is heartfelt and eye-opening!

I relished my initial experience with this narrator, but there is not enough praise given to Dan Levy for his remarkable effort put into this masterpiece! I felt every emotion from both characters, the sad ones, the frustration, and the admiration felt. The growth Tyler made was heartwarming and deserving for Gabe.

Appreciated representation 🫶🏽

I enjoyed this book immensely! The book has depth and a sweet romance involving a well adjusted very responsible deaf man and a party boy, yet over time love prevails!

A unexpectedly beautiful love story!

It was a pleasure to read a book featuring a hearing impaired character for the opportunity to learn more about that. I felt that the author explaining Gabe's deafness issues was not only informational to those who may not have that knowledge, awareness, or experience, and it was presented understandably. Thanks for that and the epilogue with more information about Gabe's hearing situation.
I really loved the character of Gabe and his amazing bond with dogs!

This storyline was at times both funny, sweet, and heartbreaking; a really wonderful book!

That said, I had mixed feelings about Tyler: sometimes I really liked him, but there were a few times I just wanted to whack him upside his head with my boot, when he was acting like a frigging stupid banana because of a combo of his lack of knowledge about the deaf community (and apparently too lazy to learn very much, even after he and Gabe started getting close). Him never having a boyfriend or any kind of close relationship with anyone other than his found family sets him up for being clueless on how to be in love with someone. Loved all the doggy stuff!
Two thumbs up! 👍👍

Love this wonderful story!
