90s-inspired MM rom-com - so cute!

Audio update: This was narrated beautifully by Argyle Nicholson, a new to me narrator, who did a very fine job with the MCs. The narrator made the two MC distinct and portrayed the cute moments as well as the spicy ones well! I definitely enjoyed listening to this and will relisten in the future.

I adored this novella from start to finish. Jake, a bass singer in the Men's Choir, seeks out tutoring help from Ezra, a tenor also in the Men's Choir. Ezra is super smart, kinda goofy and nerdy. However, Ezra doesn't feel that he's all that and has a crush on Sean (also a bass singer in the choir), so in exchange for stats class tutoring, Jake is going to help Ezra with some tasks. After some tutoring and then some makeover help, Jake realizes that Ezra is perfectly adorable just as he is...and that maybe Jake is himself willing to do just about anything to help Ezra, including offering to teach to dance, to kiss, and more. I enjoyed that they first developed a friendship and realized that they actually had a lot in common. I also loved Ezra's funny homemade t-shirts, the 90s references/setting, but especially just how freaking sweet Jake is. This novella packs a nice punch despite only being 100 pages - there's some humor, a bit of spice, and lots of feelings. I do wish more had been done with the whole choir thing, though! Maybe in the next book, which I can't wait to read!

This is the cutest 90's rom com I've ever read/watched/listened to. Jake is the perfect friend to Ezra. and It was so funny. As someone who was around in the 90's This book was beautifully nostalgic for me

Sweet, sweet story! 😊

I loved everything about this adorable little book. The characters, the plot, the execution of the plot and... The narration. Absolutely fabulous. I'm usually a bit dubious of narrators I haven't heard (or heard of) before, but Argyle Nicholson is certainly one I'll be seeking more of. He so expertly captured the sweet, innocent tones of this book (although there is one "open door" scene). Highly recommend!

Sweet college novella

This book contained many of my favorite tropes: nerd/jock, bi-awakening, and college setting. I had not heard the narrator before but felt that the narration fit well with the characters. As a whole, this short story was a perfect reward after a difficult week.
