The Queen of Wrath may go down, but she’s never out.

At least, that’s how it’s been for the last five thousand years. With the loss of her horns, hand, sword, name, and witch, Bex is closer to defeat than she’s ever been before, but the Blade of Ishtar has never been a quitter. She’s determined to come back from her ashes, which means it’s time to do something crazy, something she’s never attempted in any of her previous lives.

She’s going to hell. Literally.

If the only way to get back what she lost is for Bex and crew to personally storm the Eternal King's prison, that’s what they’re going to do, because while the Hells were designed to contain demons, they’re completely unprepared for the fire of revolution Bex is bringing with her, especially since the demons aren’t fighting alone. Adrian is also deep in Heaven’s backstage, and like any good witch, he hasn’t been an idle prisoner. It’s time to show Gilgamesh that winning the battle isn’t the same as winning the war, and that hell hath no fury like a queen--or a witch--scorned.

Argh I was wondering how they would end it in 20 minutes-- so I shouldn't have been surprised it's "to be continued..." I really don't like cliffhangers BUT the production bloopers added at the end made me laugh so much I forgive them for doing this... lol please don't make us wait too long for the next one!! <3 I love these characters soooooo much.

cliffhanger?!

You might think that after the last entry in the Tear Down Heaven series with its incredibly dire cliffhanger that there would be some period of regret, remorse, or reflection. And you would be wrong! The action kicks off almost immediately and doesn’t let up for instant. For every step forward there was always a new wrinkle or challenge to increase the stakes. Fortunately for the reader, just when it seemed things were too dark or dour there would be a moment of levity or hope or intimacy to allow for at least a brief pause to take a breath to stave off the exhaustion of endless suspense, but then the story dives right back into it! This was wild. I can’t believe how quickly Aaron can put together such a fun, exciting read. Can’t wait for the final chapter in the series. I thought I had theories, but given all the twists and turns so far, I honestly have no idea how this is going to end. It’s going to be epic.

This was crazy, I couldn’t stop reading

Rachel Aaron is one of my favorite authors and this is a great addition to the series. The narrator does a good job of all the different voices and adding a really nice level of voice acting, plus the bloopers at the end were funny and I hope more audiobooks include them.

Great continuation of the series

There were a few false starts that the editor missed, where the narrator repeated the first few words of a sentence again, but it's a price I'll gladly pay to keep human voice actors reading books. I won't be supporting Audible once they utilize AI. the bloopers at the end were actually charming, & had me laughing out loud a few times.

The book, of course, is perfect. At first, I was hoping this might be the last one in the series, so I could find out how it ends, but of course now I'm glad that it's not, as I always want more. The plot was getting a bit too grim for my taste, but I'm glad I held on, as things finally begin to look up. I love when there's a twist or reveal that I didn't see coming, but I can see all the breadcrumbs laid out behind me from the very beginning.

First of all - do yourself a favor and stick around at the end for the bloopers. Thank me later. As usual, the narrator is fabulous, the story is excellent, no notes. can't wait for this amazing tale's conclusion.

Rachel Aaron has done it again!

Ok, this was a good installment in the series. I knew from her Facebook post that there was one more book so there was likely going to be a cliffhanger. Rachel Aaron tied it up pretty well, ending this segment and leading to the next. I'm still not sure how the narrator manages all the different voices, especially since most are female and it doesn't sound like the typical falsetto you get with male narrators doing female voices. But seriously, the entire book was overshadowed by the one minute blooper reel at the end. Every audio book needs one of these.

bloopers for the win

Loved this entry, so much many wins for our hero’s this book so we know the shoe is gonna drop early next book since it’s the last installment.

I just love the essence of this story which is power to the people! Rachel knows how to project real world happenings to her books.

Loved this installment of Tear Down Heaven. Felt very unique among the other books, while fitting the series seamlessly. I love how the characters continue to develop and we got some great payoffs while still leaving room for an incredible finale.
