A most-anticipated title from USA Today, Goodreads, BookPage, BookRiot, Seattle Times, and The Nerd Daily!

Everyone's favorite lethal SecUnit is back in the next installment of Martha Wells' bestselling and award-winning Murderbot Diaries series.

Having someone else support your bad decision feels kind of good.

After volunteering to run a rescue mission, Murderbot realizes that it will have to spend significant time with a bunch of humans it doesn't know.

Including human children. Ugh.

This may well call for … eye contact!

(Emotion check: Oh, for f—)

“This spectacular journey, punctuated with satisfying combat scenes, takes on an epic flavor grounded by Murderbot’s sardonic voice and Wells' exploration of mental health and physical well-being. Equal parts action packed, humorous, and heartfelt, this proves the series shows no signs of slowing down.”—Publishers Weekly

Another fabulous time with our very self-conscious Murderbot. I thoroughly enjoy the expanded age group that he has to deal with. The only issue I have with this adventure, it is too short. On the other hand, I appreciate not going through chapters of unnecessary fluff to get to the plot. Martha Wells has a story. She tells it, Unfortunately, then it is over.

Already needing to reread it!

Another neurotic adventure

A grand chance to delve into lesser known characters in the Murderbot universe, to see and understand more of the surprisingly complex world (most novels that rely on humor don't do deep world building --or complex character development, for that matter.) It is a truism...the books are better and the audiobooks just take it up a step. I an devoted and addicted! I hope Martha Wells goes further in this direction and let's us watch more of Murderbot's evolution into whatever new form of sentient entity it will be I am here for the ride.

K. Free embodies Martha Wells's snarky, dangerous, yet vulnerable and even lovable Murderbot like no one else.

I really enjoyed this story! I don't really have any complaints about the story or the narration. I do have a couple of suggestions though. Could we have someone teach Sec Unit to swear more creatively? Maybe one of Peri's grad students could expand his vocabulary! Something more than "F" bombs. Also, could Martha Wells produce an anthology of scripts from Sanctuary Moon, World Hoppers, and Time Guardians Orion? Maybe even throw it open to other Sci-fi authors?! One or two could even include side (or snide) comments from Art and Sec Unit?

Do NOT mess with Momma!

I enjoyed this book as much as the others. I just wish it was longer.

If only it were longer

No spoilers, Murderbot has grown so much, matured. This book shows a whole adventure that it is now comfortable in its skin, emotionally intelligent - Rogue SecUnit skin. It is now a fully matured, not like "the baby fauna that cant control all of its limbs" (like 3). I absolutely loved this book. I can't wait to "read" it a hundred times, like all the other books.

A Pivotal Story Showing Murderbots Growth
