I don’t know if I like this book or not

I loved this authors first book, but I have no idea how I feel about this one. The female narrator’s Irish accent was so bad it completely removed me from the story. I haven’t been able to finish it because of the narration so I recommend reading a physical copy.

Adorable, Emotional, and Wonderfully Narrated 🎧

Heart Strings took me on a ride. The second half hit me right in the heartstrings (pun intended) and had me tearing up. Aidan was absolutely adorable, and the voice acting really brought him to life. Cielo did get a little frustrating at times, but she mostly kept a level head, which made their dynamic feel real.

This is definitely a book with spice (not a spicy book), but the scenes we got were well-done and hot, solid 2 chili peppers 🌶️🌶️ from me. I loved the second chance romance aspect, and the narration was top-tier, making the whole experience extra engaging.

Definitely a repeat listen!

My first from this author, but definitely not the last! I got this because I adore the male narrator's talent but the cherry on top was a wonderful, inclusive and well thought out story!

Obsessed with this book. Perfection. Beautiful. Love love loved it so much. I need to go back and read the first book now. I’m obsessed with Ivy’s writing!

Not stringing you along…

I think this was a great 2nd book! I love the performance. My BFF had spent 10 days in Ireland on a trip with her mom and had been to Galway and she had video called me from there and had shown me photos; plus we laughed because she was the only person who goes to Ireland who packs sunscreen and still get sunburnt! HAHA! Anyway, I could see the places where had been , even if it wasn’t the EXACT place, but the atmosphere. The pub, the creek, the country roads… I really enjoyed the visual given in the book and brought to life by the performers and the writer.

Heart Strings by Ivy Fairbanks was a sweet, second-chance romance that gave me plenty of warm fuzzies—though I’ll be honest, Morbidly Yours is still my favorite in the series. That first book just had such depth in the characters and their story, it’s hard to top.

That said, Aidan and Lo brought their own charm. Their connection didn’t quite land as strongly for me, partly because the timeline was a little muddy (I swear they said six months together, then two years apart?). Lo’s frustration about their split didn’t fully resonate since she was the one unwilling to try long distance. Her tendency to keep everything bottled up—making assumptions, never voicing her needs—got frustrating at times.

But Aidan? Loved him. He stayed calm, rational, and steady, even when Lo spiraled, and his quiet determination to choose her—especially when she hit her lowest—was really sweet. The last 20% was the strongest part of the book: a health scare that forced them to finally put the drama aside and show up for each other. That’s when the romance really hit home.

While second-chance romance isn’t usually my top trope, this was still a cute, heartfelt story. The spice was mild but well-placed, and the ending wrapped things up in a way that made me smile. Not my favorite of the series, but definitely worth the read if you like your romances cozy with just enough angst to keep you hooked.

Love it just as much as the first one. I normally don’t listen to contemporary romance, but I love how this author takes the best parts of late 90s/early 2000s romcoms and puts them in a book. Also, the kink is 🌶️🌶️🌶️ and so well done. Quite the surprise. The narrators are divine- if you aren’t sure about it, just do it, you’ll thank yourself later. I can’t wait for her next one; I’m thinking it’s probably going to be about saoirse (hopefully). My only complaint is that I wish it was longer!

This was fantastic. I loved the second book in this series just as much as the first. Can’t wait for book three!
